Brixham Heritage Museum

The museum offers a choice of activities which are suitable for a variety of ages, and hold many 'special days' both within and outside the museum. There are opportunities to become amateur archaeologists, no matter how young or old, and many other "hands-on" experiences can be found on both floor levels inside the building.
For all visitors there are a variety of displays ranging from the prehistoric to the 1950s, with particular emphasis on the maritime industry of the area.

Brixham is a great holiday destination with children. There is, of course, the harbour and little quirky gardens to look at. There is an arcade in town and lots of shops. There is also rocks to climb and a small pebble beach enclave right beside the harbour. In town, you will also find a museum and theatre There is also plenty to do in the surrounding areas for those who like to take day trips or take your little ones out on a boat.

Brixham Harbour is perhaps the least commercialised part of Devon, it is situated in an area which is known as the English Riviera. Brixham is a picturesque fishing town with a working harbour which was built upon a limestone outcrop at the southern end of the Torbay crescent of coastline. It is the perfect location for a relaxed holiday by the sea.
