Even the sheep wanted to join in.

In other news, today we installed the first of 24 Solar Panels.

Great progress on the roof. Adam and Alan braving the elements. Bright day but chilly.

Once complete, these 150mm insulated roof panels should keep everyone warm in the colder months and cool in the Summer. Not to mention lowering the energy needed to heat it.

Roof panels have arrived.

Apologies to anyone who had a slight delayed journey as we unloaded.

Now wishing for a few good, dry, windless days so we can fit them.

With just over half the roof structure done, the sheer scale of the space is becoming apparent.

Plenty of room for 50m² of open plan living and 3 generous bedrooms with en-suites.

And all this will be flooded with natural light via a south facing 4.1m sliding door.

We have just taken delivery of 24 430W Solar Panels, capable of producing nearly 9MW of clean, renewable energy per year.

Additionally, our heating system will not burn any gas or oil and there will be an EV Charger for our guests.

It's important that we all leave as small a carbon footprint as possible.

We just need a roof to put those solar panels on 🙂
