Wishing the week here would slow down a bit. We are having the best time and it's so great to be back in Molyvos. Without a doubt one of the most beautiful places on earth, we absolutely love it here 🌎 β€οΈπŸ‡¬πŸ‡· Gorgeous sunsets , so many stunning tavernas , cuddles with donkeys , catching up with lovely friends from home, watching England win and plenty of well needed relax time 😍 ❀️

We absolutely loved our final day in Kotor. Definately a more adventurous day as we set out on a hike up the mountain in search of a secret cheese pub we had heard about 🀣 It was wayyy more strenuous than we expected and took us a good few hours to get to the top but the prize at the end was worth it 😍. The most warm welcome from the Raki man who makes his own cheese from his goats and cows (which was the best ) and the most well earned beers we had ever had . The views were incredible and we laughed so much along the way. Going down after the homemade raki was an experience πŸ˜… Followed by a lovely last evening in the beautiful old town. We have had the most incredible time here in Montenegro and would reccomend to all . Time for home now but leaving with very special memories 😍

What an amazing day we had in beautiful Montenegro 😍.We went out on a lovely boat from Kotor to the town of Perast and visited the Lady of the Rocks which is just stunning . And the highlight of the day was discovering the most incredible bar in the sea with its own underwater wine cellar. The most perfect setting and being taken over by boat was brilliant.Such great fun, gorgeous wine, amazing company and fantastic weather 🌞. A day we will never forget 😍

The loveliest Monday afternoon we have had in Kotor, Montenegro πŸ‡²πŸ‡ͺ We absolutely love our apartment which is right on the old town walls with a gorgeous terrace overlooking the sea and the mountains . Perfect for people watching and taking in the amazing atmosphere. The beer is great , the sun is shining and we are all blown away with what a beautiful place this is 😍

Thank you to Emirates for a lovely invite today to tour their beautiful A380 plane before it hit the skies back to Dubai. A stunning aircraft in all cabins , love the onboard bar in business class and their First Class Cabin is just out of this world 😍. Was pretty gutted I had to get off but the yummy fillet steak in their fantastic lounge definately softened the blowπŸ˜†πŸ˜‹ . So impressed and can't wait to fly with them myself one day πŸ’—

Happy Friday all. What a week since we landed back. It's been the busiest travel booking week I have had in a very long time 😍 But I wanted to post about the final little leg of our journey we had in Atlanta , Georgia, a perfect little stopover on route back from Costa Rica πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ 😍

We love exploring new USA cities and this one was a real treat. They say Atlanta is the big city with a small town heart and that is so true. One of the friendliest cities I had every visited .❀️

We stayed in downtown Atlanta at the Twelve Hotel which was a great spot for getting to some of Atlantas biggest attractions including the Georgia Aquarium which is the biggest in USA.
However, the main attraction for us was definitely the World Of Coca Cola which when walking into the 20 acre site feels like you are stepping into W***y Wonkas chocolate factory. The build up to the curtains coming up and stepping in was so exciting and you got to sample the new flavours coming out and the highlight was the testing room with over 100 coca cola drinks from across the world . We all absolutely loved this and trying all the weird and wonderful flavours ( except the sour plum from China which tasted just like mcdonalds Bbq Sauce 🀒)

We explored the city on foot and by scooter which was great fun as there is so many green areas and stunning parks . We were there during the annual Dogfood festival in Piedmont park and enjoyed sitting in the sun , taking in the great chilled atmosphere and listening to local musicians with a few cold beers.
We also loved Ponce City market , an area filled with great food stalls , bars and very unique shops 😍
One of the huge highlights though was having lunch at one of Atlantas food institutions - Fat Matts Rib Shack . One of the coolest little places to eat with live blues on every night. No frills, so authentic and the best slab of ribs you ever did taste (no rib pics sadly as they were devoured too quickly πŸ˜†)

Unfortunately our little guy got sick on the last night (sour plum coca cola maybe πŸ€”) so our adventures were cut a little short but we had had the loveliest time and our Atlanta exploring had been great fun at the end of a wonderful holiday - would highly reccomend this city πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ(and special thanks to the tourist board for looking after us and to Atlanta airport and Virgin for being so amazing and making the journey home so smooth with a poorly boy in tow πŸ₯°)

Roll on the next adventures. Have a great weekend everyone x

Our Costa Rican journey has finally come to an end . This country is pure paradise and we have had the most amazing time. We have spent the last few days chilling in this gorgeous town with one of my now favourite beaches of all time. We loved sailing down the estuary and mangroves and even bumped into a couple of scary looking crocodiles 🐊 πŸ₯° Noah has been none stop in the sea with all the surfers on his body board , we have loved our daily sunset drinks in the most chilled beach bars , great food , stunning scenery , little monkeys outside our apartment and the loveliest people ❀️ πŸ‡¨πŸ‡· A holiday of a lifetime we will never forget. πŸ₯°....Now time for an extra little adventure before heading home with a few days of BBQ, music and exploring Atlanta, Georgia ✈️ πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ 😍

Costa Rica Beach lifeπŸ‡¨πŸ‡· 🌞 We left the beautiful rainforest and hit the road again heading for the Pacific coast and the little surf town of Tamarindo πŸ„β€β™‚οΈ We haven't been here long but we have fallen in love with this incredible beach and the most stunning sunsets ❀️πŸ₯° Such a colorful town with so much life, lots of surfing action, lots of cute dogs having fun on the beach, great beach bars and restaurants and our air bnb seconds from the beach is a perfect little spot to unwind for a few days .Absolutely love this country πŸ‡¨πŸ‡· 😍

Well it's been a jam packed few days here in beautiful Costa Rica. We had an amazing rest of our time in La Fortuna. The hotel was so beautiful with the fastest water slide ever built into the grounds which Noah went on about a thousand times πŸ₯° And we couldn't get tired of waking up to the stunning views of the volcano.⛰️
We ate in some incredible local soda restaurants as they call them here , enjoying the local food, cold beers and gorgeous smiley service 😍
But the highlight of our time here was doing the biggest zipline in Costa Rica πŸ‡¨πŸ‡· With my fear of heights I have never in my life been so terrified but once we were off the adrenaline of flying over the rainforest at a crazy speed was incredible and we all loved the experience . Im sure my screaming could be heard throughout the whole of Costa Rica πŸ˜†
From La Fortuna we have moved further into the country on our road trip seeing more of the gorgeous countryside . We are now staying in a beautiful place called the Rio Celeste Hideaway in our own little house on stilts in the middle of the rainforest . Sitting on the balcony with the sound of Howler Monkeys and seeing all the Costa Rica wildlife is just brilliant especially the little colorful frogs that I have grown to love 🌴❀️ 😍
We also have our own private access to the famous Rio Celeste river which is one of the bluest in the world. It has blown us away how beautiful this place is and we love being on the doorstep of the Tenorio National park where we had a 3 hour trek this morning and found the most gorgeous waterfall . Absolutely love it here and getting very into the jungle life but almost time to move on and hit the coast. An experience none of us will ever forget πŸ₯°

Last night we went on our first night hike through the jungle .The noises of the wildlife were something else 🐸 🎢 , I got w**d on by a monkey πŸ˜†πŸ’ , freaked out at the amount of creatures landing on us but it was the most incredible, stunning experience and one we will never forget ❀️ Our guide was insanely knowledgeable and taught us so much about the beautiful rainforest wildlife of Costa Rica. The glass frog which is so translucent you can see its organs blew my mind. Loved every minute (even the scary spiders 😬) x

Costa Rica πŸ‡¨πŸ‡·πŸ˜. What an amazing first few days we have had and definately one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen . We arrived after a long journey into San Jose to a gorgeous red sunset and the warmest welcome in our little guest house in Allajuela a little town outside the city. It was only meant to be a place to lay our head after the long journey but we had the most beautiful 2 days here.Stunning and rustic with incredible Costa Rican food , awesome beer, the best fruit juice ever according to Noah ,lovely pool in the sun with exotic birds and butterflies everywhere . Noah made a Costa Rica buddy and they had a ball together despite the language gap 😍We were sad to leave but time to hit the road for the next part of our adventure. 🌎
We drove 3 hours into the countryside towards the rainforest and checked into our lovely hotel at the Base of the Arenal volcano in La Fortuna with hot springs everywhere and great cocktails🍹.The views are just breathtaking . We arrived yesterday and had lunch with some unexpected iguana guests which Noah loved 🦎 and hit up the local town last night which was brilliant 🍺 This morning we had a beautiful morning trek through Mistico park walking the hanging bridges and saw some cool creatures (no tarantulas yet though thank God πŸ˜€) We have lots planned in this little town and can't wait to explore more here and on the rest of our journey through this gorgeous country πŸ˜πŸ˜€

After a massive exploring day on Saturday we decided to have a more laid back New York Sunday (though still ended up doing 20 thousand steps πŸ˜†) . We started our morning by taking the subway from the beautiful Grand Central station over to Brooklyn for a relaxing breakfast in lovely Williamsburg with the locals and all their gorgeous dogs (thanks for the great reccomendation folks we we loved it here πŸ₯°) We had a lovely stroll in the sunshine and mooched around the vintage market and little shops before heading back to Manhattan.
In the evening we hit up the bright lights of Broadway for the evening 🌟. An awesome meal at the famous Carnegies where Rich ordered a chocolate cake that was bigger than his headπŸ˜† (gotta love USA portions) followed by one of the most incredible shows I have ever seen - MJ the musical . We all loved it and the guy who played Michael Jackson was just incredible 😍
This morning was bloody freezing but the sky was blue and the sun shining so walk around Central Park was the greatest way to spend our Monday morning . Definately one of our highlights πŸ₯°. Followed by a visit to the famous toy shop where Noah go to visit Zoltar and have a go on the piano from the BIG film πŸ˜€
Finally, the biggest New York style pizza known to man in Uncle Paul's Pizzeria before hitting the road back to the airport .
What an awesome 3 days we have had . Never enough time to do everything but we have made the most amazing memories . New York will be back πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ 😍

What a brilliant Saturday in the Big Apple. 🍎 Walked about 30 thousand steps across Manhattan and absolutely shattered but the pain in our feet is so worth it😍 We woke up to snow falling which made everything a bit more magical(except for the massive lump of snow that fell from up high and almost knocked me out πŸ˜† ❄️)
We started the day with the biggest cinnamon roll known to man then took the 2 dollar cable car over to Roosevelt island with great views over Manhattan. Took the ferry where we saw the statue of liberty for the first time. Walked through Wall street and bumped into the famous bull (had to give the balls a rub for luck of course πŸ€©πŸ‚) Visited the 9/11 memorial which was very moving.
Ate some great chicken and ribs washed down with a massive margarita and then were so excited to find the Ghostbusters HQ while walking off our massive lunch. 😍
Ended the day with a trip up The Edge which is the highest observation deck in New York. Good job they had a bar with mine and Rich's fear of heights to help calm the nerves 😍. Noah the fearless one loved every minute especially lying face down on the clear glassπŸ˜¬πŸ˜†. The views were just incredible and so glad we made it to the top . We ended our evening with a city lights cruise which was a stunning way to see the famous NYC skyline at night . Perfect end to a none stop fantastic day in New York πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ πŸ₯°

We arrived safe into New York last night πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ 🍎 😍Despite the crazy traffic we loved arriving into Manhattan and seeing all the lights of the big city. We are staying at the InterContinental Barclay which is an amazing spot right by Grand Central station. We got the loveliest welcome and have been so spoilt by them with an incredible room and loads of goodies 🀩 We were so shattered but dumped our bags and took a walk through Times Square. What a crazy and vibrant place felt like I was walking through a film set with all the lights and the yellow taxis. Had an amazing meal and beer at Black Iron burgers and crashed into bed 😍 So excited to open the curtains to snow this morning ❄️ Cant wait to get out to explore today . Thanks so much for all the great tips you have sent us we are so grateful. Will keep you posted on our travels 😍 πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Montreux. What a perfect pre Christmas family city break you have been πŸ˜πŸŽ„An easy hour train from Geneva Airport and we were right in the heart of the most beautiful town with its absolutely stunning Christmas markets on the lakeside . We have drank our body weight in gluwein and loved our first ever fondue experience . Eaten more cheese , the most amazing chestnuts, practised our French (improvement definately needed πŸ˜„) made our wishes on the xmas wish trees , travelled up through the mountains for the most incredible meal and wandered the stunning old town where Freddie Mercury lived. And we have absolutely loved watching Father Christmas fly through the sky each evening over beautiful Lake Geneva. I would reccomend this little city break to everyone its the perfect place to get into the festive spiritπŸ˜πŸŽ„ . We have loved every minute 😍Homeward bound now for the big day πŸ§‘β€πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸ˜

Nova Scotia πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦. What a trip. My first time on Canadian land and what an adventure it has been. This beautiful place blew me away in so many ways. We had every kind of weather possible from bright sunshine to lashing storms . We ate the most incredible food in cosy fishing towns ( I would say Nova Scotia has to be up there in the best in the world for seafood ) . Being able to eat fresh lobster and Scallops daily is a treat I will never forget πŸ˜‹β€οΈ We drove from Halifax up to the wilds of Cape Breton Island. We were lucky enough to drive the Cabot trail which has been voted one of the most scenic drives on earth. Unfortunately it chucked it down most of the way but it added to the atmosphere with the waves thrashing on the cliffs . We walked the famous skyline trail , managed to dodge getting eaten by a coyote but almost got blown off the cliff with the crazy wind and rain but loved every minute 🀩. We off roaded through the forest trails in our little jeeps in search of moose and bear and incredible view points 🫎 There were welcoming hotels and inns to stay at, beautiful lighthouses, stunning little beaches, eagles flying and colourful sunsets. But for me ,the best thing about Nova Scotia is the people we met along the way. The most warm hearted people you could meet with wicked sense of humours and a great outlook on life . We loved spending time with them, listening to their awesome live music and hearing stories about their way of life here. ❀️
And finally what a great group I got to make this journey with. So many laughs and great memories we shared. Thanks so much to Tourism Nova Scotia for making this happen . Its a trip I'll never forget 😍 πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

21/09/2023

What a perfect way to start the dayπŸ₯°πŸ₯°. The view from my balcony on the beautiful Cape Breton island. We have had the most incredible week so far in Nova Scotia full of adventure , crazy wild weather , the best food , amazing music, wildlife , fantastic people and so much laughter. Its been none stop since we arrived last Sunday so as soon we stop for air I am so excited to share the stories and photos of this awesome place πŸ˜πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

Landed safely into Halifax last night and after a very quick turnaround out for a meal at the Five Fishermen restaurant. What a welcome to Nova Scotia 😍 Totally spoilt with the most incredible lobster dinner I ever did taste. And my first try of an oyster (still undecided about those πŸ˜†) Was great to hear the history of this place being the funeral home during the Titanic and all the ghostly sightings . Loved it ❀️ Up very early this morning (bloody jet lag ) ready to explore Cape Breton island as our road trip officially begins πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ 5 Fishermen Restaurant

Galveston - The Texas Coast πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ . After a fabulous and very fun few days in Fort Worth it was time to hit the road yet again to our final stop of our road trip. This was the longest drive at the trip so by the time we arrived to the Texas Coast we were so ready for some chill time😎.

We booked a cute little Airbnb in Galveston right over the sea which was perfect for a proper relax and close to the boardwalk and some great little rustic fishing bars for cards, sunsets and more Texan Margaritas 🍹 😍

It's been a totally perfecto few days. Noah loved going to one of the world's biggest water parks called Schlitterbahn nearby which was great fun (except for me getting sucked into the wave machine on a rubber ring but thats another story πŸ˜†) And we also got to spend the day at Nasa Space Centre which was an incredible experience πŸ‘¨β€πŸš€ . And of course more great food .This area is famous for its seafood and the giant prawns I had were awesome πŸ˜‹

We finished our trip here before we headed to the airport with a lovely boat trip around Galveston harbour where we were treated to a visit by some beautiful pods of dolphins.
The best end to the most incredible road trip, with every day some of the best food I have ever eaten (diet starts as soon as I hit Manchester πŸ˜†), stunning scenery , fantastic country music , amazing wildlife, incredible experiences at every stop , great family time and the most warm and welcoming people ❀️ If you are looking for an alternative US trip this is one I will shout about from the rooftops 😍Texas you have been amazing and we will never forget you . Now time for our flight back to Manchester to be reunited with our fluffy boy Baxter πŸ₯°πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Fort Worth πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ 😍 We hit the road from Austin heading north Texas to Fort Worth also known as Cow Town πŸ„ πŸ₯° We couldn't resist making a stop half way in Waco to the Dr Pepper factory museum which was random but brilliant and the finest glass of the black stuff I ever did taste outside of DublinπŸ˜‹
Arriving in the stockyards area of Fort Worth where we checked into the coolest cowboy motel ever 'The Drover ' , it was clear we were in proper cow country here. Like going back in time to another world 🀠 We took a trip into downtown for some great live music in the famous Sundance Square, watched the famous cattle drive and had one crazy old night down at the Rodeo.πŸƒπŸ‚πŸŽ Noah even got to take part in the half time games which he absolutely lovedπŸ˜† We visited the original Billy Bob's-the world's largest h***y tonk bar and listened to more incredible live music all over town. And we also got to relax in the gorgeous hotel which has been a dream after some non stop road tripping adventures. πŸ₯° Fort Worth we have absolutely loved you and made such amazing memories here ❀️ Now time for the final stop of our Texan road trip . Austin πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈBack on the road we headed for the Capital of the Texas state . On arrival we were so excited to be given the most incredible room with a view over the famous Congress Bridge where we would go to watch the million bats emerge from later in the evening.😍 πŸ¦‡ But after dumping our bags there was one place we were desperate to get too. The famous Terry Black's BBQ .πŸ˜‹ I have never tasted anything like the meat here. It was bloody incredible and what a brilliant atmosphere in there .The beef rib was as big as Noahs head and the brisket and pork ribs were stunning (green beans added for a bit of colour to the plate πŸ˜†) .
After some pool time recovering from the meat coma in 43 degrees we headed out onto lady bird lake to watch the sunset and the incredible nightly scene of over a million bats coming out of the bridge for supper😍 . One of the highlights of the trip for sure . We didn't see a lot but what we did we loved . Austin we will return one day πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
Next stop. The cow country of Fort Worth for our first rodeo. Yeee haaaa 😍🀠 πŸƒ

Gruene-Texas Hill Country. We left Bandera and hit the road once again to the town of Gruene. Famous for having the oldest dance hall in Texas and hosting some of the biggest names in country music 🀠 We checked into the Gruene Mansion right in the heart of the beautiful little town . We got a little cabin right on the river front which was so peaceful with a couple of rockin chairs to enjoy the chilled Texan country vibe. πŸ₯° We have tubed down the stunning river, swam with wild turtles , enjoyed some awesome country music , danced badly with the locals in the dance hall 😁, put on another stone in weight with the massive portions and drank plenty more lonestar beer 🍺 We came across a random ghost cowboy town just nearby too which we found out was the setting for many a western and The Tv series The Waking Dead. Its been a perfecto couple days and the road trip continues to treat us with brilliant experiences and warm hospitality wherever we go. Time to hit the open road again ...next stop the capital city of Austin for bbq and bats😍 πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Bandera πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ We set off from San Antonio into Texas Hill Country to spend 3 nights at the Mayan Dude ranch. The drive was stunning and some amazing sights along the way. Never in my life would I have expected to come across a Donald Trump store which the boys insisted we went in. What an eye opener 🀣

We arrived on the ranch and were welcome with open arms by the Hicks Family who have looked after us so well. It has honestly been 3 of the best days of my life here.πŸ₯° We have loved riding our horse to a feast of a breakfast in the morning , our cosy cabin, incredible food, more riding, brilliant hospitality and entertainment, line dancing (that's not one to share on here πŸ˜†), great country music and the most amazing wildlife experiences. Seeing an Armadillo and a raccoon by our cabin was just brilliant. Noahs made some great friends and its an experience we will never ever forget. 😍

Bandera the little town was awesome too and lives up to its reputation as cowboy capital of the world.
We were welcomed into the saloons, listened to some fantastic country singers and loved the local cowboy life. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

We are so sad to say goodbye to the ranch but time to move on to a new adventure.Next stop Gruene ,Texas for some river town fun 😍.

San Antonio. ❀️ πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
We left the big city of Houston and after some hair raising navigation leaving the city we set off on the first part of our journey San Antonio bound.
We made a stop en route to Herbs Hat shop on the outskirts of the city where we got welcomed in with beers and the boys got kitted out with a new cowboy hat. I have never known a welcome like the Texan's give . It was a great experience😍🀠
We arrived in San Antonio and fell in love straight away with the city. It's absolutely stunning and so colourful. Our hotel The Contessa was set right on the beautiful river walk which runs straight through the city filled with great restaurant and the loveliest vibe. As the city is so close to Mexico we made the most of the amazing traditional Mexcian food and plenty of margaritas in the mid 40s Texan heat πŸ”₯
We walked some serious miles, visited the famous Alamo , and enjoyed the wonderful carnival vibe of the city. I would return in a heartbeat πŸ’“
Time to move on now as we make our way into Texas Hill Country to Bandera-also known as cowboy capital of the world where we are staying on a ranch for the 3 nights 🐎😍 πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Bring on the country music, horse riding and plenty of bbqs .....
