Pennywort Harvey having fun with his sister Mimi - with mum Fizzy keeping the maternal eye on them! Where does that music come from??? #donkey #miniaturedonkey #summer #fun #Cornwall #sun #bookdirect #farm
Another great day out with the family from Pennywort Mill. We drove up to the north coast across Davidstow Airfield before dropping down to Rocky Valley. Bronze Age rock engravings, mill houses, beautiful streams and rivers and forest walks. Pennywort is central to East Cornwall which is great as a base to explore south and north coasts. Book direct for your holiday.
Bed time for a little foal after a long day playing out in the fields! Still deciding on his name Pickle, Pea, Kelly Bray (a local village) or Green Prince (his mum is Kelly Green and his dad is Black Knight)❤️ #donkey #miniaturedonkey #cornwall #donkeylove #farmholiday #bookdirect
What a fabulous waste of time! The suns out, the donkeys are out! I’ve just filled my phone memory with videos of our little foal! He’s sooooooooo cuuuuuuuuute! If you’re heading our way for a holiday, he’ll be here waiting - with more foals due next month!
Our Pygmy goats have kidded now and we have some beautiful kids. All ready to be cuddled by guests. They will be with us till mid-June. After that just cuddly miniature donkey foals - very small donkey but HUGE hugs!
Here’s a video tour of Kate’s Cottage. A bright day today, but definitely not Spring or Summer yet.
We lived in Kate’s while our house was being renovated. It’s really cosy for winter breaks and the lounge seems to give you a hug with its wood burner keeping you lovely and warm. Over 2 floors, taking up to 2 dogs, we think Kate’s Cottage is an ideal base for exploring Cornwall and West Devon.
You can book direct or through the Travel Chapter. We look forward to welcoming you!
Our favourite tree, the old oak, our 2 retired Dartmoor Greyface sheep and what’s this in the dog run?
Dog friendly? I think so! Sven and Freddie enjoy racing down the dog run. Freddie is really enthusiastic, but his legs are just a bit shorter than Sven’s. But there’s always tomorrow!
I thought I’d post a video of Tyler’s Cottage to show you what it’s like! It’s a bit “mizzly” at the moment and the flowers haven’t bloomed, but I hope it gives you a good idea of the Cottage. I think it’s lovely! I hope you do too. You can book direct or through the Travel Chapter. We look forward to welcoming you!
We’ve just goodbye to Daniela, Stephan and Emma this morning. We knew Emma loved being out with the donkeys and goats every morning and evening. What we didn’t know, was that she was a fantastic young artist! We went in to Kate’s Cottage and found her drawing of Pennywort as a gift for us! Deeply touched and impressed with her kindness and effort that she had put in to this piece of art. She’s got everything in the drawing. We hope she comes back!
