We have decided to try something new, an experience rather than a standard holiday let which we are hoping you will give a try. Before we joined the estate as one of their Coastal Properties we trialled out the experience ourselves, as a family, to see what our guests will receive when they stay with us it was a real treat and we throughly enjoyed being spoilt!

When booking via Carbis Bay Hotel you will receive the hotel luxuries that all hotel guests receive but in the privacy of a Penthouse apartment with gorgeous sea views.
Full spa access in their beautiful spa with views overlooking the bay (although times are restricted of those with children)
A welcome hamper full of local treats and goodies plus a freshly baked cake to enjoy after your journey.
A breakfast hamper delivered to your door each morning with hot breakfasts such as bacon/sausage ciabatta's plus individually wrapped ham, cheese, smoked salmon, a loaf of bread, pastries, fresh orange juice, fruit, Greek yoghurt (availability may alter contents slightly). You choose your delivery time and the concierge will deliver.
Daily room cleans and resets.
24hr concierge via WhatsApp - no need to leave the apartment.
Priority booking for estate restaurants.
Access to all hotel facilities, perhaps for a coffee in the Orangery enjoying the views over the bay.
Or you could enjoy the views from your balcony window at Under the Moon and not need to leave the apartment for the entirety of your stay.

A bit late but it was beautiful to see the St Ives Fireworks from the balcony! Both boys tucked up in bed, out if the rain and cold and no negotiating getting back after midnight. We even spotted a few torches along the coastal path with people making their way back after it had finished too 😂 All from the comfort of Under the Moon! 🥰

I feel like this place is so special it deserved a permanent place on the grid!

on Porthmeor Beach is just lovely. Friendly staff, great food, great pods for outside (sheltered) eating, amazing views, child friendly and a great location. We booked our table for May half term week in February so if you fancy a table here, which I thoroughly recommend- book in advance.

This lovely lady called Molly worked for a charity that works with St Ives Bid and the community and came to the Kings coronation with a huge craft supply. The boys made crowns, done rock painting and even had a cupcake...all for free! Molly was great with my boys and the others that joined in. Thank you Molly!! 😊

You can afford to consume your weight in food and drink when you're staying with us because the walk to and from the beach will keep you fit! 😉

I remember our first visit to Carbis Bay over 9 years ago and this was a massive surprise...the advantage being you get the most amazing sea views from because of being higher up! 💙

We ALWAYS visit Healeys when we are down. The boys love apple juice and jam tasting and hubby loves stocking up on cider supplies, but today, we experienced a few activities for the kids that we've not seen before.

They had storytelling with apple juice and biscuits. With a Paddington story read by one of the lovely members of staff at the entrance to the farm.

Kids juice blending where we were shown the apples to make apple juice. They got to try juice made from Katy apples. Then they added apple juice made with scrumpy apples and got to taste how blending these two together made it taste even better. Even though it didn't look appealing in the bottle!

We always see the resident Peacocks but never on display as much as they were today, showing everyone their wonderful feathers! 🦚

Plus the usual visit to the farm, the new sensory area, juice tasting, jam tasting and a cornish cream tea...
Not forgetting the Cider and Gin tasting for the adults too! 🍻🥃🍷

• Flapjackery, St Ives •

Have you visited Flapjackery in Fore Street, St Ives? I've walked past a few times over our last few visits and said "we should try there" and today, we finally gave it a go!

Me and my two boys and I went in to have a look at what was on offer and my eldest (who's a massive fan of huge numbers & Caramel!) Decided we should try the Millionaires Flapjack!

My goodness! Wow! They're delicious, and if my 2 boys didn't know I had bought them I'd happily demolish the entire packet!!

We will definitely be back again this week to purchase more before we head home. Although now we all know how good they are, I dread to think how much we will take home with us 🤣

I'd have taken a better photo if they weren't demolished in record time!

St Ives

Today we had our final lunch at which is set on Porthmeor Beach. Typically we picked a rainy day but the view is still pretty amazing. We had booked a pod as we saw they were heated but due to train strikes, we had to walk in from Carbis Bay along the coastal path and us and the 2 little ones were soaked through! We explained to the waitress that we were so cold and wet and she straight away looked to move us. The waitress moved a few tables around and got us inside in the dry (next to a radiator too!).

The outside is pretty sheltered with heaters and had it been a dry day we would have happily stayed outside to enjoy the view. Even on a cold day I recon you'd be warm enough outside in a pod!
Food was really lovely, service was very good, atmosphere was great and the location is something else! We even took cakes home which we ate before I could grab a picture as they were so yummy! We had Guiness Cake and White Chocolate and Raspberry cakes 😍
We would recommend you give this place a go! We will be back in the summer when we are back at Under the Moon! Thank you for a lovely last lunch 💙

Today we had lunch at Porthgwidden Beach Cafe. The sun was out and the views were simply beautiful. Food was lovely and the seevice was brilliant. We had a really lovely waitress who later came over and told us there were dolphins in the sea (another customer has spotted them) which I thought was lovely as our boys were so excited to see them. Would definitely recommend and we will be returning when we're next back in St Ives 😊

The Watering Hole, Perranporth is usually so far from the waters edge in peak summer (until the tide comes in of course) but look at it now! 😱

I never understand why people drive onto the sand though, that Audi driver won't be doing that again!

• Trevaskis Farm •

Today we visited Trevaskis Farm so our boys could enjoy some PYO! We picked some strawberries, Raspberries and Blackberries.

Its a short 10 minute drive from Under the Moon. Its free entry and you dont need to prebook which is handy when the weather is unpredictable.
We picked strawberries, raspberries and blackberries and visited the Farm before having a lovely lunch in the restaurant with some deserts and dinner from the Farm shop to take home. It was a perfect rainy day out !

Our boys loved hunting for the biggest and juiciest looking strawberries to fill their basket.🍓
And I'm pretty sure our youngest is a Dr Dolittle in the making! 🤣
