I had the pleasure of taking my guests, here from Magnetic Island and Tasmania across the border into Scotland and the remote valley of liddesdale to Hermitage castle yesterday. Lots of childhood memories for me and something different for them.

Some art work framed this weekend for the house. A signed print by Heaton Cooper a Cumbrian farm gifted to us by previous owner. An original water colour by FI Doran Cumbrian landscape. African mask probably tourist piece as it’s not scary! Gorgeous wood popular in the mid century bought from not local I just loved it and the wood is beautiful. Two felted wool pictures by Anne Arnold bought at Spring fling, loved the area appropriate subject matter. Crail Pottery Studio piece, charity shop find perfect colours all displayed on a beautiful 1960’s easel courtesy of my favourite shop for sourcing items for Riverside. The 1960’s easel and chalk board are for our younger guests to express their artistic talents and I’m hoping they will leave me a lovely picture of their visit. #.Co.uk
