I am a hand made sock monkey and I would like to share some of my experiences and friends with you. I am not for sale: but my friends and cousins will be

Once upon a time there was a tiny sock monkey who dreamed of being a ballerina.
Not the official live music at Kingston Court Care Home today at their Summer Fair. We've had a lovely afternoon, thank you to all the staff.
This is where you'll find us today, would you be nice to see some of you supporting this fund raiser event. You might even win a monkey.
Two more very young ladies have been practising their sewing techniques. I think they've done a wonderful job of making their own sock monkey.
Do you know that Monkey Tales offer workshops to help you create your own Memory Bear? Dates and times to suit you. Please PM if you would like to chat about it.
Another family of Memory Bears completed.
Pilot Mason and his crew cleared for take off.
We have a winner. The nearest guess to his birthday is 9th August. With the names Joshua - Jayne. I'll be in touch. Thanks to everyone at Laing's. You've worked so hard to try and make the weekend a success.
Good news for Silloth, sadly Monkey Tales is not able to go.
๐ฃ HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT ๐ฃ
Silloth Carnival will be on next Sunday 1st September 11-6pm.
But we canโt do it without YOU! Get involved in our walking parade, we will be starting at the Lifeboat station down the prom.
Please if you are a trader message the page!
Thanks to Silloth Town Councillors for allowing us to change the date. ๐
The Monkey Tales gang had such a lovely time today they will be back again tomorrow but with a rather later start time than the official start of 11am.
We're all set up and ready. Lots going on.
Shout out to all you knitters - we need your help to create a poppy display ๐
We need red poppies with a black centre, either knitted or crocheted to create a stunning poppy display in conjunction with Carlisle Matters to commemorate Armistice Day and November 11th Remembrance Sunday.
Size doesnโt matter at all and the centre can be wool or a black button but as long as itโs tied on and long ends are left at the back so we can attach them to netting.
Along with The Lanes, the 'yarnbombing' display is also going on netting at the Tourist info centre steps and the bollards of Castle Street.
Please help if you can in making a poppy, or share to those who may be able to, so we can united the community in a stunning tribute and thank you to those that fought for our freedom. Thank you ๐
Please hand in the finished poppies, leaving your details, to the the Management Suite, that is on Level One of the car park, with the office being near to the bollards.
Thank you - we can only do this with your help ๐
What do you think Go-Karts, Bouncy Castles, Face Painting, Fair Ground Games, a Live Singer, Pop up Bar, Car Boot Sale, Shopping Stalls, Alpaca Visits, and of course Sock Monkeys all have in common? You'll find out if you come along and Alzheimers and heart charities will benefit.
Any of my crafty friends looking for an event to attend. You can pop up tomorrow or there's an indoor space available on Sunday? PM me, I can let you have more details

So sad that they've had to cancel so I've now got some hero's and Disney Princesses who are looking for homes.
Murder, train, afternoon tea - there is a connection. (But no banana sandwiches).
Two young ladies have been improving their sewing skills and have created a sock monkey each. I think they've done a pretty good job.
I think I've developed a new species. Let me introduce you to Socktopus, or, since there's more than one, does that make the Socktopie.
Today we're at the Table Top Sales- Carlisle the dilemma is, do I take Fargo?
Monkey tails.
Monkey Tales wont be despatching any Memory Bears from the beginning of September until the end of October so you only have a short time to get you order in.
Not a bad way to fund raise.
I love taking the Monkey Tales gang out on the road to various events. I'm not much of a sales person but I do enjoy all the interaction with everyone and Dalston Show yesterday was no exception. There's always someone different to talk to. Had a lovely chat with the guys from Andys man Club Carlisle they're there for all you guys who just need someone to listen.
Why this picture you ask. Well a Super Hero's fan recognised it as Batman. Thank you Dalston Show. Get August 9th 2025 in your diary now.
What a tremendous effort from the village of Dalston for putting on such a wonderful Dalston Show . What a super day it's been so a big thank you to you all. Thanks also to everyone who stopped for a chat and especially to those who have rehomed a monkey. I'm just about ready for bed now.
We survived the night so we're all ready for our day at Dalston Show. The sun is also here.
It looks like only little people will get into our 'little top' which because of the high winds when we were trying to put it up ready for the Dalston Village Festival is very low. But it will be raised tomorrow when the wind dies down and everyone is welcome to pop in and say hi.
I've been dealing with royalty today. Disney royalty.
When you see it, you see it. A clue, I'm making preparation for Silloth Carnival
The result of today's workshop. Didn't they do well? A fitting finale to the week in Pop-up 29 .

Not the official live music at Kingston Court Care Home today at their Summer Fair. We've had a lovely afternoon, thank you to all the staff.
It's not every day that you get to hear a couple of banjo playing sock monkeys. They almost managed to play together ๐
As usual I haven't taken many photos of our time at Wild on the Wall Family Music Festival . We've high and low points. Lows must be the mud and the river that ran through the gazebo and the absolute down pour as we were packing up. The highs - some of the amazing kids that came to do the workshops and many of them are now well and truly fans of Fargo and the rest of the Monkey Tales gang. We'd love to see any pictures you have taken of Fargo and the gang.
Everyone should experience this sort of peace and quiet once in a while. Fargo fans, make sure you watch until the end.
Fargo refused to get into the car to go to the Lambousa Market today. Do you think he knew what was going to happen? As it turned out none of the other monkeys got out of the car.
It's hiding somewhere in this bush. I hope it doesn't disturb Fargos sleep. He has a busy day tomorrow. Back at the Lambousa Market after a two year absence. I wonder if anyone remembers Fargo?
Fargos having a dancing lesson with some ladies who are doing a great job fund raising for their charities.
Today is national thank you day so we would like to thank you all. Those who have bought monkeys, those who follow Fargos adventures and like and make comments on the posts, those who share post so their friends can enjoy Monkey Tales, those who stop and say hello and have a chat when we are doing a stall, those who have looked out for his lost items and everyone else who we may have missed. You are all appreciated and without you Monkey Tales would be a very lonely place.
