Nellie’s has had her annual wash and brush up, repairs and replacements. New beds! The twin room now has 2 x 3’ ziplock single beds but if you want to be extra cosy it configures into a super king version.

Our guests love visiting the mystical door to St Edward’s Church, Stow on the Wold. Framed by the ancient yews, this famous Cotswold door is said to be the inspiration behind JRR Tolkien’s Doors of Durin in Lord of the Rings.

Congratulations to one of our precious yews in St Edward's churchyard! It's been dedicated as one of 70 Queen's Green Canopy Ancident Trees to mark Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee. This is a great honour for our town!
The ancient trunks of the yews framing the North Door of St Edward’s are said to have inspired the magical “Doors of Durin” in JRR Tolkien’s “The Fellowship of the Ring”.
