Chester’s 3Rs – After Hours (Evening) Guided Tour: Thursday 29th August at 17:30.
It’s not a tour about Reading, Writing and Arithmetic - but an introduction to three things that help to give Chester its distinctive look and feel.
Paul Hyde will be out with his trusty six-foot duster to take you around the streets and galleried walkways of Chester to reveal the Roman legacy, to consider the key features of the unique Rows, and to celebrate the richness of the many black & white half-timber Revival buildings. Paul will also allude to a 4th R during this 90-minute exploration of Chester. Paul will also explain how the Rows were much more extensive, and he will show places where they have been lost but clues to their existence remain.
This tour takes place on Thursday 29th August at 17:30 to approximately 19:00. It is part of a programme of After Hour Specials organised by Chester’s Visitor Information Centre (VIC) scheduled for summer evenings. It is suitable for both Chester residents and visitors to the city. Booking is exclusively through the VIC on Town Hall Square – either in person or by phoning 01244 405340. Tickets are £10 per person.
