We're so lucky to live in such a dreamy part of England. The South Downs has so much to offer, including the gorgeous Meadow Hide at Oakwood West Holidays.
Bluebell season (Late April to first half of May) is my absolute favourite time of year. If you're staying with us then we'll be sure to point in the direction of some gorgeous bluebell spots.

I love this time of year! Autumn chills in the morning and evening, pop the log burner on, snuggle up in blankets after a blustery woodland walk. Perfection! Have you done our local loop from our cottages to @horseandgroompubeastashling ?
It's a perfect 25 minute stroll, just enough to burn off the extra calories to make that brownie pudding guilt free 😉

Walk up paths full of wildflowers in the #SouthDowns and see clouds of #butterflies swirling around you in the warm air. This Silver Washed Fritillary was kind enough to pose for us. ❤🌞
A blur of colour at Mottisfont Rose Garden. Enter a world of sensory delight as you wander around the walled gardens full of roses. There's an inspiring informality to the gardens, it's a beautiful mix of planting and a wonderful place to pass some time. The gardens are open all day. During rose season they open into the evening which is both a quieter time to visit and the time when the fragrances are at their strongest.
Entry is free for National Trust members. Finish your day with a stroll along the bank of the River Test and then back through the meadows full of wildflowers.
