Muddy Boots and Cosy Evenings

Head out into the woods of the South Downs for muddy walks with your pooch. You could walk through Kingley Vale nature reserve to the top of Bow Hill, for glorious views and wildlife spotting. Return to your cottage for an evening snuggling up by the log burner, playing board games, and enjoying wine and cheese. Play your favourite tunes to set the mood (all the cottages except Meadow Hide have a bluetooth connected sound system). Finish the eve with a muscle relaxing dip into the hot tub underneath bright November stars.

Shore Walks & Shooting Stars
Stroll down by the shore at Chichester Harbour, perhaps Bosham or Dell Quay, taking in the expansive skies, beautiful sunrises, and rich array of bird life. Then enjoy a roast dinner at the pub, warmed by a roaring open fire, most pubs are dog friendly too. After lunch spend the afternoon at the Weald & Downland museum to browse their delightful Christmas Market. After dinner head out to the hills by foot or car (Harting Down dark sky reserve has a car park at the top) or into your garden and look out for the natural fireworks of the Leonid meteor shower that will be lighting up the night sky throughout November.

Meadow Hide is a beautiful cottage, designed to be accessible for disabled guests and to be a true luxury hideaway. You'll awaken to the sounds of birdsong, and spend time stargazing each evening. Inside there is a log burner, comfy sofa and a picture window through which you can see the sun setting...

Making Memories at Meadow Hide...

We love it when you tag us or send us photos of your stay. It's so lovely to see you enjoying our local area which we feel so proud to be a part of.

Our recent guests at Meadow Hide were actually celebrating their honeymoon, and chose to do it in style! Hear what they had to say;

'We did the lovely walk to you recommended, also walked down Brook Lane to get into Bosham (loved all the coffee shops there…). Took a trip on the Chichester canal and saw kingfishers. We also got to experience the beautiful super-moon one evening! ....Also loveddd the fact there were two vineyards nearby!! and , loved them both..'

They also did more lovely local walks around and of course enjoyed cosying up by the fire in the cottage of an evening and relaxing in the tub.
