This Friday, we will be starting with Breakfast at Westonbirt's Kitchen, Pantry, and Smokehouse, followed by a stop in Tetbury for an early livener, then onto Wild Carrot at Chavenage, a first-time visit for CBA. Then a short walk to The Tipputs Inn a hop onto The Hog at Horsley then down the valley to Nailsworth for a quick visit to the Village Inn, Nailsworth (looking forward to sampling their range of local beers) and the Egypt Mill Hotel & Restaurant We will finish the day off at the excellent The Crown Minchinhampton for dinner.

Has gin reached saturation point? Is it time to move on to something new? After an excellent evening of gin tasting , the CBA will be sticking with it as the spirit of choice. A great education into the diversity of gin with the added bonus of finishing the evening off with an outstanding martini!

Notable highlights from Fridays Beer Adventure.

Beer is Best..after a good breakfast!

Special thanks go to The Plough Inn at Ford Arriving at 09:00 unannounced (a high-risk strategy Eddie King!) unphased, our host offered us a great egg and bacon baguette breakfast that set us up for the day.

A mention in dispatches goes to Jesse Smith & WJ Castle Butchers whose New York pork pie formed our picnic centre spread - who would have thought pork, dill pickle, mustard and cheese would work in a pie - genius!

The best picnic spots in the Cotswolds

Some great ideas for picnic spots from Cotswold Life Magazine.
We found a cracker when we were out on our last . Nestled in a small hidden valley just North of .
Follow the footpath from Nettleton, north east to Goulter's Mill Farm. From here take the path due south into the small wooded valley following the course of the By Brook river you've just crossed.
Alternatively park at the at The Gibb and walk South until you pick up a path on you right. Perfect secluded picnic spot.
