Coventry and Rugby GP Alliance Coventry and Rugby GP Alliance aims to enhance the delivery of health and care services to our local

The Coventry and Rugby GP Alliance was incorporated on 13th June 2014 as a private company limited by shares. The Alliance is wholly owned by Coventry and Rugby GP practices who are shareholders with ‘A’ voting shares and ‘B’ equity shares. Whilst the Alliance is a new organisation the member practices have a rich heritage in the delivery of high quality, accessible and responsive primary care in

Coventry and Rugby. The Alliance has a Board of Directors made up of GPs and senior NHS employees with more than 200 years of experience. We currently have 84% of General Practices in Coventry and Rugby signed up as members who collectively serve almost 400,000 patients and our membership is continuing to grow. Our members remain independent organisations but collaborate in the further development of local primary care. The Alliance firmly believes that this model of collaborative working is the most desirable for our patients with practices enjoying many benefits of being part of a collective organisation.

National Carers Week 10th – 16th June 2024 💙📢

For those that carer for others and who put them before themselves, we would like to say a huge thank you to all the careers across the world for their amazing, hard-working commitment to others. Their work might be underappreciated, but it is incredibly important. For many people, it can be impossible to achieve and accomplish daily tasks considered to be “easy” or “normal” to do, which is why it is so crucial for the aid provided by carers, to ensure they can have a happy life.

We would also like to thank our Admiral Nurse team who provide the help and support needed to carers of people who suffer from the long-term effects of Dementia. They work so hard passing on knowledge and support to the next cohort of nurses via training and development sessions. Huge Thank you to our Admiral Nurse Team 💙

Last week was Dementia Action Week, and we would love to show some well-deserved appreciation to our Admiral Nurse Team. The team have been working incredibly hard, helping patients and their families who are affected by Dementia. Dementia can be heart breaking illness that affects millions of families a year, which is where our team is able to provide the best support and service possible.

While they’ve been hard at work with supporting carers, they have also been doing a fantastic job of shaping the future of the next cohort of Nurses with lectures at Coventry University. Also, they have been providing training to Various services and charities, most recently Marie Curie, an end-of-life charity that provides the support people deserve.

Thank you again to our very busy, incredible, life changing Admiral Nurse Team 💙

National No Smoking Day 🚭

Today can be your day to start living a healthy and happier life. It only takes 1 step at a time to change your life for the better, so make today's step to cut out all forms of smoking. Smoking both ci******es and vapes can cause lifelong problems which is why we encourage everyone to make some changes and see how it can impact your life for the better!

Changes to make today, instead of smoking/vaping:

• Invest in a fidget device to keep your mind active.
• Snack on fruit when the cravings start.
• Replace the urge to smoke with chewing gum or ni****ne patches.
• Talk to your local pharmacist for help and advice.
• Use the NHS stop smoking app for support and guidance.
