Although we would like to keep the membership of the group as relaxed as possible, the focus of this group is to support Maidenbower Businesses and its residents. This group does not yet have set rules for advertising and we would like to keep it that
way. So, please do not bombard the page as we would like to encourage people to visit and it would be courteous to allow everyone else's adverts and comments to be viewed too.
You should check smoke and CO2 detectors on a regular basis but they often get forgotten or put off during the busy Christmas period, when you need them the most.

Repairs to Yamaha PSR E333
The speaker audio isn’t working. The speaker is not visibly damaged and there had been no deterioration of the audio quality prior to the fault. The headphone output also doesn't work which suggests it's not a speaker issue. Everything else on the keyboard functions as normal, the input is fine and one can still use the MIDI output to record directly onto Logic on my Mac. It appears that something very minor in the electronics has gone wrong.

As things start to open up, a small reminder for British travellers / UK passport holders, going to countries in the EU:
Passport must NOT be older than 10 YEARS ( based on issue date) AND ideally have at least 6 months validity remaining upon return date from Europe. N.b. The requirement from most European countries is to have at least 3 months left on your passport on the day after you leave.
Visitors should bear in mind that stays in Europe (EU) Schengen area must not exceed an aggregate of 90 days in a 180-day period.
Health: Get the GHIC as replacement for the EHIC card when it expires.
Mobile phone: Roaming charges are being reintroduced by various operators
In latter part of 2022 a visa to travel to EU countries is slated to take effect. Known as ETIAS. Validity expected to be 3 years, at a cost of 7 Euros.
Driving own vehicle: May require Green card/ car insurance. Also, France as example has many compulsory requirements regarding breathalyser kit, warning triangles etc.

However, remember that departure from UK and the destination country will have its own limitations. Ultimately double vaccinated UK residents are about to get moving again.
