Did anyone feel the earthquake earlier today?? (Sunday 21st July 2024)

Strangely, almost 40 years to the day from the bigger one in 1984 - who remembers that one?

The 1984 Llŷn Peninsula earthquake struck the Llŷn Peninsula in Gwynedd, northwest Wales on Thursday 19 July 1984 at 06:56 UTC (07:56 BST). Measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale, it is the largest onshore earthquake to occur in the UK since instrumental measurements began.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Very glad to be able to announce that Winston has been found safe. Great work by all within the community for helping with the search. Thanks to Mountain Rescue Team for the support, and great work by Wales Police.

Winston is now on his way to hospital for a check up.

Thank you to Tafarn y Plu for the lovely soup once we returned from scene 😋
