COMMODATION - ORCHARD LODGE

Bedroom 1 double bed
Bedroom 2: king-size zip n link bed, which can be made into two single divan beds. Fully fitted kitchen - Microwave, 4 ring hob with full size oven and grill, Free standing Fridge/freezer, full size dishwasher, Washing machine, toaster & kettle, slow cooker. Open plan Lounge/ dining area - flat screen TV and DVD player, Sofa bed, full size dining room table (seats 6)
Bathroom – Spacious Electric shower, hand basin & WC
Electric heaters throughout the lodge. Sleeps 4 (+2 - sofa bed in lounge to accommodate 2 guests. Please note there is an additional charge of £10 per person per night for any guest using the sofa bed. Selection of books, games, jigsaws, DVDs and videos available to borrow

OUT BUILDING/UTILITY ROOM. We have a very useful adjacent lockable storage/ utility area, idea for storing your wellington boots, Bikes, beach things & Fishing gear. There is also a shower & WC within this area. OUTDOOR AREA
There is Seating all around the Lodge. Secure fenced garden, Fire Pit & BBQ. PARKING
Private parking beside the Lodge for up to 2 cars. FISHING
Fishing pond that is stocked with Silver fish, Tench, Rudd and Perch. You will be able to fish as many times as you like during the summer months at no extra cost. Pound Farm

The baby Swallows are doing well. Their parents decided to make their nest under the veranda of Orchard Lodge. 😃

Over the last few weeks many of our holiday guests have been enjoying watching the parents build the nest and now they are busy feeling their young. 😍

Postbridge and Bellever Tor Dartmoor, Devon.

Postbridge lies more or less in the middle of Dartmoor, with its medieval clapper bridge.
The walk is about 6 miles taking you out onto the open moor and up to Bellever Tor.

Hi everyone, . . Summer here we come!! . . .
Jacquie, Lauren & myself are very excited about the upcoming season and to celebrate the Horse-Drawn Barge’s ‘50 years’ on The Grand Western Canal in Tiverton, Devon.
Planed So far for our 2024 season. . . .

1. We start the season off on the 3rd April with the launch of the new Swan Trail in the Tiverton canal basin (links in comments below)
2. We are putting together a Tiverton Canal Co ‘Open Day’ in the Tiverton Basin on 13th July 2024 with music and a Party Atmosphere, Horse-Drawn Barge History Wall and lots of other activities, to celebrate. . ‘50’ years ‘to the Day’ that the Horse-Drawn Barge started, in 1974.
3. We are putting together a photo competition ‘with prizes’!
4. There will be a New ‘free’ Video about Tiverton Canal Co & the Horse-Drawn Barge, to be released later this year.

🎄Magdalen Road Christmas Fair🎄
Saturday 2nd December, 2pm to 6pm

The road will be closed and the fantastic shops and restaurants of Magdalen Road will spill out onto the street, joined by 50 stalls from across the West Country.

There'll be street-food, drink, live entertainment from bands and singers, fairground rides, presents to buy, music, hot wine and lots of other Christmassy food and much jollity.
