Holiday home set in the beautiful “chocolate box” village of Sydling St Nicholas surrounded by g There is a king bedroom on the second floor.

Set beside a stream the property has 5 spacious newly decorated bedrooms with 4.5 bathrooms, magnificent oak conservatory, 3 other receptions including games room (suitable for younger children) and snug with electronic games, 55" SMART TV with electric woodburner. Access to the property is via a covered porch from the driveway. Hall has exposed brickwork and spacious wardrobe for coats and shoes.

To the left is the spacious main living room with exposed beams and brickwork. A wood burning effect fire greets you in the inglenook fireplace. This room has the SMART TV, triple aspect views and has french doors leading to the light and bright oak-framed conservatory/dining room. There is room for 10 people to enjoy leisurely meals around the dining table whilst overlooking the garden. The snug also leads off from the conservatory and has a TV, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii console and a selection of DVDs and games. The entrance hall gives access to a separate WC as well as the kitchen. Again with exposed beams and brickwork, this room has an electric oven and hob, microwave, American-style fridge/freezer, additional undercounter fridge and freezer and dishwasher. The separate utility room leading off has a washing machine and tumble dryer. Next door is a games room with table football and midi table tennis table as well as selection of games. Upstairs there is a stylish and spacious super-king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room with WC, a king-size room or an inviting twin, both also with an en-suite shower room with WC. There is one further double bedroom on this floor with sloping ceilings and a contemporary bathroom with roll-top bath, separate shower and WC. Heading outside via the conservatory, you can access the lawn that backs onto the property and looks out over the hills and pastureland behind the property. This level space also has a summer house with a rustic bar where you can enjoy sundowner drinks, gas BBQ, raised water feature and furniture. There are beautiful walks in the area which is an area of natural beauty with SSSI nearby, you could be in any century! Approximately 25 mins from the coast with beautiful rolling countryside all around. I am the owner of the property and have rented my home out to some lovely people over the past few years have received excellent reviews from previous guests scoring 5* consistently for comfort and location. This week is fantastic ☀️ proper Dorset holiday weather 😎

Took this photo last Friday night, just thought it would make a good share picture.

As we sat there looking at the stars ✨ and watched the satellites 🛰️ go by, the ash tree in the corner of the garden looked amazing.

Sydling St Nicholas has minimal light pollution and is a truly amazing village to relax and unwind in.

It’s about 16 miles from Weymouth, which is ideal for sailing, wind and kite surfing and supping.

If you ever watched the BBC excellent series Broadchurch you may, or may not, know it was filmed in West Bay which is approximately 16 miles from Sydling St Nicholas.

This is another great place to visit if you are planning a holiday in Dorset.

We had a last minute booking come in last night! Managed to get everything ready though so happy days.

We have had a lovely day today with temps in the area of 26 - 27° ☀️ so got out and had a trip to the top of Abbotsbury Hill.

I’m always amazed at the view across to Portland.

Got a close up of St Catherine’s chapel and the Swannery at Abbotsbury.

These views are only about 25 mins from Chelsea cottage.

This is a great place to walk to in Sydling St Nicholas.

It’s just under a mile from Chelsea cottage with about a 300’ elevation climb.

There’s a seat so you can sit and enjoy the views with a special person and a glass of wine/fizz, or even a flask of coffee, and watch the world relax around you.

Sydling St Nicholas looking down from the hills. The population is circa 450 and the village has been in existence for many 100s of years.

Good luck to those people running in this Saturday’s Giants Head Marathon and Sunday’s Half Marathon.

Race starts at 08:30 and has a 7 hour cut off. The half is on Sunday with a 10:30 start and a 4 hour cut off.

If you’re out and about give the runners a cheer. They run right past before going off into the country.
