This lovely upside-down, detached south-facing barn conversation is situated just 30 meters from our home, within the sleepy village of West Hougham, close to both Dover and Capel-le-Ferne. Boasting a fabulous mix of contemporary design and rustic charm, this property has been lovingly renovated and is perfect for a couple or small family lookin

g for a rural retreat, nestled within beautiful countryside. With all but one of the rooms situated on the ground floor, guests can really make the most of the tranquil views of the countryside all around

There are two tastefully furnished bedrooms, a twin and a king-size double, the larger of which benefits from French doors to throw open on a sunny morning and greet the day, whilst the stylish family shower room comes equipped with a walk-in shower. Fully fitted kitchen with freezer, hob, fridge, and microwave. Upstairs on the first floor, there’s an additional sitting room, ideal for members of the party to retire to should they wish to relax in front of the TV, if they can tear themselves away from the stunning pastoral views, with Dover Castle in the distance. There is a hot tub for you to enjoy a relaxing soak whilst admiring the south-facing countryside views within the owner’s garden (sorry, unaccompanied children are not permitted). Shepherds Huts also available to rent on the property

The tree is up, our decorations are in place and our traders have moved in. We're all ready and incredibly excited to welcome you this weekend as our 2022 Festive Marketplace opens for the first time.

35 bespoke built huts will be home to over 50 independent and unique traders, makers, producers, creatives and brands over the upcoming Festive period. Everything from fun stocking fillers to statement artworks will be available to purchase this year; making this our largest and most eclectic Market ever.

A NEW, IMMERSIVE ARTWORK IN FOLKESTONE HARBOUR STATION
Walking with Ghosts is a new multimedia artwork and programme of events and walkshops, interweaving past and present to explore the impact of war on Folkestone over the last 100 years.

The whole programme takes place over 84 hours: from 11am on Friday 11 November to 11pm on Monday 14 November 2022.

This is the length of time it would have taken the dead from the First World War to march past the Cenotaph.

Brought to Folkestone Harbour in collaboration with The University of Kent and The Imperial War Museum 14-18 NOW Legacy Fund.
