Another cracking day on the bream, with some decent size fish. Mackerel still coming up. As well as wrasse, squid, cluttlefish and John and his John Dory.

Updated car parking for 11 Nov - 4 Dec. Due to continued works at the harbour, the Harbour House Extension car park (the charter angling parking section) will not be accessible so can all our parties just park in the main Harbour House car park.

Nearest car park to the visitor's access gate is actually the Harbour House Car park, enter via Cambridge Road (just off the Esplanade), drive through to the 'extension' part for the charter angling parking. Park in the charter section, do not park on the DHB (Dover Harbour Board) marked bays. Parking permits still have to be purchased via the RingGo app. (We will give you your reduced parking location code once trip is confirmed.) Then you just need to walk through the opening in the hedge, cross the road towards the sea and between the Belle Vita Restaurant (CT17 9FS) , and the new Marina Office you will find the locked gate to the visitor's pontoon. Dene will let you in. Hopefully this will help and maybe avoid everyone having to ring me every morning saying they are lost. LOL.

Nice day on the bream (50+ caught) on Thursday with the lads from The King Ethelbert Inn, Reculver. Plus a nice bonus small cod, and a good mix of other species.

After doing an angling trip out of Dover on Wednesday, Dene dropped the party off, turned round and headed back up the coast so that Gemini II could take part in the annual Thames Estuary Boat Competition on Thursday running out from Queenborough. Thursday started sunny and calm, and although the wind picked up a bit towards the end, we had a really enjoyable day with plenty of banter and are chuffed that one of our regular Dover anglers, Andy, won the longest smooth-hound (115cm) prize, presented by Mick at Medway Tackle Supplies. To save having to trek too far to the access gate for the new marina the best car park to use is the Harbour House Extension, CT17 9FP, which is actually across the road from the access gate. We also have a new RingGo location code for our anglers which will give you reduced parking costs, so don't use the code on the car park signs. Unfortunately, none of the Marina car parks have disabled parking bays.

With the closure of the Tidal Berth at Dover, Gemini II is now officially in the new Outer Marina at Dover Harbour, so boarding will be from the visitor's pontoon in the new marina. The access gate for the boarding pontoon is next to the new marina office. Car parking location has changed too, all charter trips should park in the North Car Park, nearest post code is CT17 9BX. Payment for parking is still via the RingGo app and we have a special location code for discounted parking for charter trips.

Just had report in from Gemini, first turbot of the season on board. With the lull in the weather today, we were able to get a bit further offshore.

Decks all finished, very happy with the job by M&P Marine, Dover. Also, thanks to Paul at Audacious Marine, Ramsgate for his help and advice. Just one or two little jobs to do, then unwrap and relaunch for a busy 2024.

Starting to look good, fingers crossed deck will be completed by middle of next week. Then, we can unwrap her.
