retreat is the perfect place to get away from it all. The cottage sleeps 10-12, in five bedrooms (2 en-suite, plus a shared bathroom and ground floor toilet) over 2 levels. There are 3 lounge areas; a snug, featuring a log burner and comfortable sofas for cozy evenings in or movie nights; the garden room, with picture windows looking out on the expansive garden has sofa seating, TV and a drop-leaf dinning table; and the incredible American style family room with its range master oven in the fitted kitchen area, a 12 seater dining table, sofas and log burner. Upstairs there are 2 king-sized bedrooms 2 with en-suites, a twin room, and a family bedroom that sleeps 4 (in a bunk-bed and double bed). There is also a ground floor king size bedroom with access to a shared downstairs toilet. The stunning upstairs family bathroom has a large bath and walk-in shower. One of the highlights of the property are the extensive gardens, with beautifully planted herbaceous borders, large lawns for games, a Moroccan garden, fruit cages (feel free to pick any fruit in season), raised beds, kids climbing dome, pond (which can be gated from the main garden and house), and a small private woodland. The outlook is to the arable fields adjacent and a horse paddock. There’s comfortable outside seating in the covered pergola, decorated with festoon lights. A convenient, lightweight electric barbeque allows outdoor cooking anywhere in the garden with access to power and will easily cater your needs. In the garden you’ll also find a summer house with a bar, sofa seating, dining table, electrical sockets and bar games. A section of modern and classic board games, puzzles, books and children's toys are provided for your enjoyment during your stay. Located on the edge of the small, peaceful village of Burton Flemming, you’re just a short walk from the village shop, pub, playground and duck ponds. A number of other larger villages and towns are a very short drive away, so you have options for groceries, eating out or takeaway, plus other amenities.
