Another of our autumn juveniles that is doing well. Mills weighed 157g on admit on the 6th October is a hefty 391g today.

This is Doris was found out in the day in Farsley. She came in with a number of ticks, she was dehydrated and lethargic. She is being treated for lungworm and roundworm and is eating and gaining weight nicely. She weighs 335g today.

Three little hedgehog souls on their way to hedgehog heaven today. Despite our best efforts, Georgie lost her battle last night and Mimi was so poorly this morning she was taken to the vet to be euthanised, the kindest thing we could do to end her suffering.
The third was ‘looked after’ by her finder for a few days before her neighbour convinced her she needed help, despite warming and administering fluids we knew we were on to a loser. She lasted a couple of hours before she slipped away. She had no chance.
A hedgehog out in the daytime is already in trouble, by getting it to a rescue, it may have a chance of survival or at the very least, a comfortable, dignified and pain free end.

The A701 Dumfries to Moffat Road is currently CLOSED just south of St Ann's Bridge due to a Road Traffic Collision.

The roadway is completely blocked.

Please avoid the areas whilst a diversion is put in place by the relevant roads agency.
