Taking the long view. The Lighthouse in the 1970’s (when it was first built) …and following its reimagining by the brilliant team and the maturing of its garden. The spectacular views it enjoys have changed little over time and remain perfectly unspoilt.

We are delighted that members of the family who originally built the house still enjoy staying at the Lighthouse and have shared this extraordinary image of the original house before the Rees they planted transformed the landscape. Holidays in Gairloch are to be enjoyed by multiple generations. Book a stay at the Lighthouse via our website (click on link in bio) or .co.uk

A blue-sky view of the three bridges over the Forth on a sunny morning, reminiscent of the extraordinary image created by Alfred Buckham (1859 - 1956) of the rail bridge (when it stood alone) that is in the collection of the National Galleries of Scotland. Framed prints of several Buckham views hang at the Lighthouse.
