It’s in the UK, which remembers the foiling of the Gunpowder Plot – a plan to assassinate King James (VI of Scotland, I of England) by blowing up the House of Lords with gunpowder.

Guy Fawkes, one of the plotters, was arrested while guarding explosives underneath the House of Lords in 1605.
