Dalmore – Castle Leod & Framed Picture

Dalmore Vintage 1995, Castle Leod (The Home of Clan Mackenzie) was released to raise funds for the restoration of the ancestral home, Castle Leod. The Second in a series of limited releases, distilled in 1995, matured in American white oak and Spanish sherry wood, before being finished in Bordeaux casks and bottled in 2011.
This release comes along with a limited edition print and a framed picture of Castle Leod.

The Glenturret Manager’s Dram Release No.2

The Glenturret, Manager’s Dram Release No. 2 has been created from a small batch of casks spanning many years. This whisky has predominantly matured in European oak sherry casks, with hints of American oak and mellow peat, giving you a moment to reflect on the work of those craftspeople who have gone before.

The 2022 release of the Manager’s Dram is a mellow peat single malt which has been maturing exclusively in European sherry oak casks in warehouse no.9.

The Glenturret Manager’s Dram Release No.1

The Glenturret Manager’s Dram Release No.1 has been carefully crafted from three casks exclusively selected by their Distillery Manager, Ian Renwick. The long fermentation and slow distilling produce a sweet peated spirit which is matured in European and American sherry casks. 
This specific bottling has been hand signed by Manager Ian Renwick.

Glenallachie – Billy Walker 50th Anniversary

The ‘Past’ expression is a sherry-matured 16-year-old Glenallachie is a result of combining nine 2005 vintage Spanish sherry butts, hand-selected by Master Distiller, Billy Walker. Bottled at cask strength in February 2022.

The ‘Present’ expression is Glenallachie’s first ever Japanese oak finished whisky – the Mizunara Virgin Oak. This 16-year-old single malt Glenallachie was matured in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks, before finishing in Mizunara oak casks. Bottled in June 2022.

The ‘Future’ expression is Glenallachie’s first peated distillation, overseen by Billy Walker from new make spirit through to bottling. Bottled in August 2022.

Middleton 1995 Single Cask

This Triple distilled, Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey was distilled 13th January 1995, matured in Warehouse M09 Bay 003 Cask No.1047. An impressive single pot still Irish whiskey from Middleton here. Triple distilled in 1995, it matured in a single first fill bourbon barrel before being bottled at 52.7% ABV, without chill filtration. Only 192 bottles were produced.

This is bottle No.177 of only 192.

Hazelwood Centennial Reserve

A very rare bottling of 20-year-old Hazelwood blended Scotch released to celebrate Janet Sheed Robert’s 100th birthday.

The Master Blender of William Grant & Sons selected 90 casks for Janet’s 90th birthday, and a further 10 casks were added for her 100th to create a new limited release of 2001 bottles.

Glenfiddich – Snow Phoenix

The special Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix Speyside single malt scotch whisky was matured in selected Spanish oloroso sherry and American bourbon casks and was bottled in the year 2010 on the occasion of a dramatic event in the distillery s history in a limited edition without chill filtration at 47.6% abv. The Snow Phoenix single malt is intended as a reminder of the winter of 2009/2010, when so much snow fell within a short period of time that on the evening of 7th January 2010, parts of the roofs of four warehouses collapsed under the heavy weight of the snow. Malt Master Brian Kinsman and the distillery team recovered the casks of varying ages from the affected warehouses at temperatures as low as -19° C and skilfully married the best of the Oloroso and American oak casks affected by the roof collapse to create the Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix single malt.

Ardbeg – 21 Year Old Committee Release

Ardbeg Twenty One was exclusively available to members of the Ardbeg Committee in 2016. Mickey Heads, the then Ardbeg Distillery manager and chairman of the Ardbeg Committee, dedicated this release to the Committee Members saying, “Ardbeg Twenty One is a shining example of Ardbeg’s enduring spirit ” The release uses liquid distilled in the mid-90s, before the time of the distillery’s last closure.

The Ardbeg Committee is a club loosely tasked with safeguarding the distillery from returning to its darker days of the previous century. The Ardbeg Committee has access to exclusive releases like this one, which are never available to the general public.

This 22-year-old expression has matured exclusively in ex-bourbon barrels and comprises some of the most limited stock in any Scottish distillery warehouse. These bottlings are in honour of the Ardbeg Committee, whose mandate is to ensure the distillery never experiences fears of closure ever again. The ex-bourbon casks were distilled in the spring of 1996 in the still that now sits monumentally outside the distillery gates and were bottled in 2018.

Springbank is a mythical distillery in more ways than one. Founded in 1828 in Campbeltown, it is Scotland’s oldest independent family distillery. It is also one of the smallest distilleries in the country. They are the only distillery in Scotland to malt 100% of their barley using traditional floor malting methods. Furthermore, their distillery equipment has been maintained and respected by themselves over decades. Combined, this helps them keep the historical charm that Springbank possesses but helps them to ensure that their whisky is consistent with the highest quality.

Ardbeg Darkness 14 Year Old Pedro Ximénez Sherry Cask Finish

This fourteen-year-old Ardbeg has enjoyed a three-month-long finishing period in an Oloroso cask before being bottled at 52.2% abv. The nose has gentle smoky notes complemented by sweet grape hints. Dark chocolate and sea salt mingle on the smooth palate. The finish is long and smoky with welcome hints of oak.
