As you may have guessed my name is Kathryn and welcome to my page. I have always enjoyed sewing, even from an early age and have recently taught myself to crochet. I bought a sewing machine and decided to make myself, my mum and my sister bags. Their friends started asking about the bags and I had a few requests to make some for presents and I really enjoyed making them for others. I then
decided to branch out from tote bags and have made a few hand-embroidered shoulder bags. After gaining a niece (who loves shoes and bags) I decided to make a few smaller child-sized tote bags. Although they were beautiful I decided to dress the hat up a little with a handmade brooch. I then taught myself to crochet and have crocheted flowers for my bags and to use as brooches. As you can see from my photos I hand-embroider flowers onto fabric and then make them into bags, but it doesn't have to stop there. The same principals can be applied to making wall hangings, iPad covers, phone covers, tablet covers and cushions! All of my bags and brooches pictured on here are available to buy (unless otherwise stated). I only use good quality fabrics for my creations, mainly Laura Ashley and Cath Kidston, some embellishments may be of lighter weight cotton. I am very happy for requests to make something specific and personal whether it's a cushion with a name or date-of-birth, or any kind of special date. Anyway, that's enough for now.
