💙Meet the travel expert! Each week we will introduce one of our talented travel experts to you all. This week it's Sophie, Travel Consultant at our Isle of Man branch!

1. How long have you worked in travel?
I joined the travel industry after finishing my University Degree 2 years ago. I was then with Perfect Getaways for a year before taking a break and doing some of my own traveling. Since my return, I’ve been back for coming up to 5 months now! So about 17 months in total. Although I am still fairly new to the industry, I have done a lot of traveling myself and love sharing this passion to help others. It’s the best job in the world! 🫶

2. What is your favourite destination?
My favourite holiday destination is Egypt. Having grown up visiting each year with my family it holds precious memories. The Red Sea offers an incredible dividing experience exploring the vibrant coral reefs. Paired with endless sunshine and serene beaches, it’s my idea of the perfect place to relax and unwind!

3. What is your top travel tip?
Always check passport validity and visa requirements for your destination prior to booking your trip. This will save you any last minute stresses!

4. Do you have a travel area of expertise?
Family holidays are one of my specialties, but I’m also knowledgeable on Bali after spending a month there last year. A couple of weeks ago, I returned from my first ever river cruise too and learnt so much from that. With working in travel, I do find my knowledge is always expanding, and I love planning every type of Perfect Getaway to create memorable experiences for our customers.

5. Name your ultimate bucket list destination you want to visit?
Australia is my ultimate bucket list destination. I’d particularly love to experience the stunning White Haven beach. It looks absolutely incredible with its powdery white sands and crystal-clear turquoise waters.
