In Jerusalem on Palm Sunday the Christian community did come together for the Palm Sunday walk. Some of McCabe Pilgrimages friends and partners joined the crowd and shared their thoughts that the smaller crowd was mindful of the situation in Gaza and so there was less music and singing.
However you mark Holy Week be blessed on your journey
After four nights in Dresden our ‘Sounds of Saxony’ tour has arrived today in Leipzig for three nights and in time to listen to the boys choir sing Bach in the Thomaskirche. Thank you Canon Rev Dr Gordon Giles our Tour Leader for the images.
At just 13 square miles square with just 3,000 inhabitants Patmos’ tranquility was enjoyed by our pilgrims today on a lovely beach walk. We still have space left on our extra added September departure which is proving popular. Do share this with us and join.
In 1999, the island's historic center Chora, along with the Monastery of Saint John the Theologian and the Cave of the Apocalypse, were declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO because of their significance in Christianity and the preservation of ancient religious ceremonies that occur on the island. The monastery was founded by Saint Christodulos. Patmos is also home to the Patmian School, a notable Greek seminary.

After spending four nights on Rhodes, our pilgrims took the scenic five hour ferry cruise to Patmos. The ferry stops at three scenic small islands on route before arriving in Patmos’ harbour of Skala, where the hotel is just a short stroll away. Today our group visited the Cave of St. John and joined together in worship at this holy spot. #BookofRevelation #dodecanese #patmosisland
Watch the video. Join us on our newly added September 19th departure on this fascinating pilgrimage.

Our pilgrims for Patmos and the Dodecanese Islands are currently in Rhodes and took a walking tour through the St. John Gate into Rhodes Old Town with its medieval buildings from the Byzantine Empire adorned by a maze of cobbled alleys. Visited the Holy Catholic Cathedral and the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of St. John and Statue of Diagoras.
Rev Alison Shaw led worship today and in the church saw the ancient map highlighting both St. John's and St. Paul's travels. Follow us over the next ten days to see more of this pilgrimage where due to overwhelming popularity we have added an additional date is September. Click below to view the itinerary.

Sometimes things are worth rejoicing and celebrating and the biblical history and lakeside ministries on the Sea of Galilee certainly are. Our lovely group from New Wine International Church, Woolwich certainly did this in fantastic style. If you listen carefully the sound of their gospel choir, we are sure, still lingers around the lake.
Thank you to our wonderful pilgrims for sharing such a cherished memory.
Those of you who have visited Jeel Al Amal in Bethany on your Holy Land Pilgrimage, will know how challenging it is for the school and boys home to maintain a constant supply of water. Digging has just begun to create their very own well! Pilgrims will get to see the progress and we will keep you up to date with news.
After a week of fun, sights, walks and joint worship led by Rev Geoffrey and Hazel Marshall our guests return home today, but last night had a final farewell dinner in a local restaurant...
Dance, then, wherever you may be
I am the lord of the dance said he
And I lead you all wherever you may be
And I lead you all in the dance said he

Then later in Cyprus all joined in the hotel garden for worship…open air in natures own church. Forgive the camera angle.
Reverend Geoffrey Marshall today proved that he is a good sport as well as a wonderful inspiring faith leader with a great sense of fun and managed to get some of the group to join in.
Today in Cyprus all enjoyed a relaxing cruise around the stunning scenery of the Akamas Peninsula National Park. Took in views of the beautiful bay called Aphrodite' Bath, a famous mythological site where the goddess of love is said to have visited. Then, saw the St. George Church which dates back to the 13th century, a popular pilgrimage site, built on the hilltop overlooking the sea and set amidst natural beauty.
And here comes The Light of Christ. After Palm Sunday in Jerusalem, this is the most moving and joyful celebration Revd Paul of McCabe Pilgrimages has experienced in the Holy Land
Revd Paul of McCabe Pilgrimages is visiting Jerusalem for Orthodox Easter. This is the Armenian Catherdral of St James getting ready for foot washing
Our team are making the final preparations and inspections for our Patmos and Dodecanese Island tours this year…checking each hotel, ferry route and walking every step. Watch here the walk (a bus is also available) from Scala to the Fortress of St. John the theologian, where the Book of Revelation was written.
