The Old Byre

The Old Byre is a luxury self catering cottage for two and has been converted from a traditional Highland croft byre (small stone house).

A lovely crafted stone cottage reconstructed from the original byre that stood on this spot for well over 100 years, this is now luxury self catering accommodation for two. Fluffy bathrobes, luxury toiletries, rolltop bath, real log fire and underfloor heating make this cosy cottage a real escape from the City for two. Our stone-built cottage comprises open-plan living room, kitchen and ensuite be

droom with bath and shower. We have thought of everything you might need to make your stay comfortable and practical - washer, tumble-dryer, a fully fitted kitchen, all bed linen and towels. Natural, exposed heavy roof timbers and cedar panelling make a beautiful feature of the cottage. It has tiled floors and cosy rugs, quality leather sofa to snuggle into by the log fire...

Located about 10 minutes from Fort William town centre with wonderful views amongst the surrounding hills, The Old Byre has its rightful place at Blarmachfoldach. This Highland glen leads to Loch Lundavra with great views of Ben Nevis and of course fishing. Walkers are spoiled for choice straight out of the front door.

With Autumn fast approaching and the leaves turning to Gold, let your mind wander to The Highlands. Imagine after a long enjoyable walk coming home to a cosy cottage and the comfort of a luxurious bubble bath, followed by a dram in front of the log fire.

With this in Mind, The Old Byre will be offering short breaks this year from October 18th until March 25th 2017 excluding Christmas and New Year.
Choose from a minimum of three nights from Saturday to Tuesday or Tuesday to Saturday at a rate of £145 per night. All inclusive, nothing else to pay, heating and fuel for the open fire is provided.

Wifi is now available in the Old Byre. Despite being in a lovely glen we have been able to have broadband installed. Please keep in mind that if you want to get away from it all, let us know and Wifi will be turned off before you arrive!
