I don't usually have the opportunity to meet our guests, I'm normally frantically preparing the apartment in between bookings 😬 Last week I met a lovely family staying for two weeks, having popped down to change bedding and towels; it was a real pleasure, they were such a kind and genuine family, the apartment was spotless and they even offered me toast and coffee bless them ... although it felt a little weird knocking on my own front door 🤣🤣🤣 oh, and they also left a 5* review ...

Of all the restaurants in all of the South West, this lovely little restaurant also happens to be less than a 10 minute walk from 6 Old Station Masters House - Fowey ....and it's also very, very delicious 😋

We are so thrilled to have won the Best Local Restaurant 2024 for the South West, thank you and thank you to all of our wonderful guests and suppliers! Chuffed to bits.

Whitehouse Quay in Fowey is the town's best kept secret....until now! It's always been easy to miss, being tucked away along The Esplanade but, thanks to a local initiative, this beautiful little tidal pool is almost back to its former glory. We can't wait to relax with a coffee in the new cafe area whilst watching the grandchildren enjoying the pool, or splashing in the river. A big thankyou to all those involved in making this a reality.

Oh the joys of running a holiday let, we unexpectedly have availability for a three night break from 12th August, or a five/seven night break between 16th and 23rd inclusive....and then that's all folks for this summer ...

Well suddenly it's almost September, the children will be returning to school and Cornwall will settle into a calmer way of life. We have welcomed such lovely guests this year and have been busier than ever; personally I will miss the crazy trips down the A30 from Devon armed with fresh laundry and cleaning equipment, it makes me feel happy knowing our guests appreciate the personal touch.
We are already planning a few little changes ready for next year, watch this space, but are also offering longer breaks over the winter at favourable rates. Where better than our apartment to spend a month or so exploring Cornwall, enjoying coastal walks and local hospitality before returning to the warmth of your home from home ....

Old Station Masters House 2015 being demolished brick by brick, each one numbered before taken off site, only to be returned and rebuilt to the original footprint; no wonder it won the NHBC Small Development of The Year in 2018, I'm so proud and indeed lucky to own just a little part of the history of Fowey!

So last night we finally managed to enter through the gates into the stunning grounds of Place, just a little pad owned by the same family since the 13th century, overlooking the river Fowey. We've spent years peeping over the walls trying to see the other side 🤣.
A lovely way to mark the start of Fowey Royal Regatta, followed by music and fireworks on the Quay, my favourite week of the year in Fowey .....
