So, we’ve retired from all things poultry, having supplied turkeys and geese for over 30 years, and having been on the telly looking pretty gormless (has to be said).

This year we’d like to recommend banburysturkeys.co.uk as a go to Christmas turkey supplier. Like us, they source Kelly’s poults, allow them to range free, dry pluck and hang tbe ir birds for premium quality. Not organic, but everything else - including being a local family business - is the same.

Turned down on the basis of ‘harm to the landscape’.. unlike the housing estate on the A390 (a massive new-build, which, by now, should all incorporate rooftop panels) - more people, more cars, more central heating, more fossil fuels (with no emphasis on eco living or affordability). Do the councillors not understand the potential harm that will be caused to the bloody landscape if they don’t back sustainable alternatives right NOW?
