Great fun at our 2nd mixed social today. The Torrance trophy was won by Ann Owen & Robert McLaren with Matthew & Heather McKimmie in 2nd place. The twos were won by Matthew & Heather. Nearest the pin for Ann Young & Aftab Ahmad and nearest the pin in 2 on the 18th by Shaeen & Aftab Ahmad. Once again we managed to beat the rain.

Our congratulations go to Shaeen Ahmad who has qualified for the Scottish Golf medal final to be played at Panmure Golf Club on the 18th of August. Best wishes Shaeen for the final from everyone at Balmore.

Congratulations to Nancy Day, one of our new lady members and new Dunbartonshire & Argyll County members.

Nancy won the county Bronze Championship defeating Jane Lawson on the 18th hole.

Nancy has also qualified for the Intercounty Finals at Balmore Golf Club on Monday 10th June and the Commonwealth Spoons at Ballumbie Castle Golf Club (near Dundee) on the 2nd September.

All the very best to Nancy in both these competitions 😊⛳️

This afternoon was the first mixed social of 2024 with a Scotch Foursomes and we missed nearly all the rain ☔️😊

The winners were Fiona & Ken Mackenzie with Hilary & Ken Russell a close 2nd.

Thanks to the greens team who are keeping the course in great condition despite the weather we’ve been experiencing for months.

Thanks to Jamie and the catering team for keeping us well fed and refreshed and to the pro shop for all the help.
