RE:verb was initially launched at the Buff Club, Glasgow in April this year with a simple idea, DISTANCE OURSELF FROM THE SOUL DESTROYING HAMSTER WHEEL RUN FOR SUCCESS,MONEY & FAME, IT FREES US TO DO ANYTHING WE WANT, ANYWAY WE WANT AND MOSTLY HAVE FUN AND EXPRESS OURSELF.It so well received we have been throwing parties ever since. The events provide an opportunity for collaboration between artists, musicians, DJs, dancers and others to present a unique experience reminiscent of the Factory scene with the Velvet Underground in New York. This is a different approach to nights out and the fusion of different art scenes will ensure it remains so. Guest performances have included Mash ( MixMag), Esa ( Auntieflo live/ Highlife), Tao Issaro (Indian percussionist), Barrientos (DJ and producer) & Sega Bodega. As well as enjoying the diverse performances, these events provide a relaxed environment to talk to the artists about their work and share your own ideas if you want. The usual night club boundaries including specific types of music, fashion, performance and attitude do not exist to enable the broadest variety of cultural ideas to develop.
