Did you know, that the entire Norfolk coast is now accessible to walkers for the first time. Natural England has announced the opening of the new stretch of path which covers 33.6 miles from Hunstanton to Sutton Bridge in Lincolnshire. The new section of the King Charles III England Coast Path enables visitors and local communities to enjoy and explore this remote coast, overlooking The Wash through Hunstanton, King's Lynn and Heacham, with big skies stunning sunsets and spectacular bird life. Winterton-on-sea has a superb Fish & Chip shop, Poppies Tea room and cake shop, plus a well-stocked convenience store, Post Office and a great dog-friendly pub, and all are a very short toddle from Heidi Corner.

​To explore beyond the village, turn right up the beach and Hemsby will give you all that a traditional English Seaside resort has to offer, with amusements, cafes, ice cream shops, RNLI giftshop and a decent pub. Turn left to experience a more peaceful, nature filled walk, and you’ll find Horsey seal colony, and the fabulous café at Waxham Barn. Further along the coast, you’ll reach Sea Palling and its Blue Flag beach and if you follow your nose even further you’ll get to Happisburgh and its iconic lighthouse. Sometimes the only other mammals you’ll come across are the coastline’s famous Grey Seals. Do remember to look up for a glimpse of Norfolk’s wonderful birdlife, such as kestrels, skylarks and little terns

It’s that time again! We’re only a 5 minute walk from them too ❤️

Afternoon all

Today we have completed the weekly seal count so we now have more information to share!!

If you are not aware we count every groyne between Waxham and Winterton. This is done by our dedicated count team who do this in all weather!!

This information is also sent and analysed by St Andrews university in Edinburgh who Colate information from breeding grounds around the UK.

So todays count has 714 Adults 61 pups born this week and the current running total is 68!!

We will continue to update you on a weekly basis!
