It is with deep regret that I am writing this. I am so upset and feel so bad for all my wonderful guests. However due to the situation at present I am no longer taking any bookings that will be taking place before mid june. I also am asking guests that are due to make balance payments to not do this. We can then review things on a weekly basis. I will be contacting all our guests due down at the start of the season tomorrow. I have already started to speak to people and really appreciate everyone's kindness and understanding in this crazy world!!! Please please stay safe everyone!!

The park re-opens on 25th March and following deep cleaning of our chalets, we will be ready for letting from Saturday 4th April. This is, of course, subject to any updates regarding the present Coronavirus situation.

If travel is still allowed, this may be a perfect way to get away for a stay in our self contained accommodation, in a quiet, uncrowded location, and with the children off school, take advantage of our early season prices.

Happy New Year to all our guests over the past 20 years. Although we retired last October, our daughter in law Koryn Hudson has taken over and we will be helping her when necessary.

Very sad to have to post this. 😥

A VERY sad day for us today at Winterton beach. We lost two young healthy pups due to human intervention. The first pup (pictured) was literally surrounded by people in the dunes and the mum couldn’t get back it to, so abandoned it where it later died.

The second was a mum and healthy pup near the slope at the cafe. Two young children were allowed by their mother to chase the young unweaned, non waterproof pup into the water where it drowned.

THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Please keep your distance.

Please listen to the wardens.

The site is assessed every day and if the wardens ask you to walk on the high dunes this is for your safety and the safety and protection of the seals.

Great Yarmouth waterways, beautifully restored in 2019 after years of neglect. Free entrance, and with a popular Italian themed cafe in the grounds. Next door is the boating lake, with a second restaurant, seating inside and outside. Rowing boats can be hired for a leisurely trip around the lake

Thanks to one of our guests this week, who called us for advice when she found an injured seal on the beach between Winterton and Hemsby. We gave her the number to call, 0300 1234 999 and shortly afterwards a rescuer arrived to check the seal and take it away to be cared for. An easy number to remember if you ever come across an injured or sick seal. Please don't attempt to try to get it back in the sea, or pick it up, as apart from the possibility of a nasty bite, the mother of a seal will not go back to her baby after it's been handled.
