The tides this weekend will be some of the biggest of the year. This means that there will be some areas at high tide that are flooded that aren't usually. Also very high, high tides are associated with very low, low tides, exposing parts of the beach that aren't normally accessible. These areas can be very dangerous as this coastline is prone to interlocking sand bars and the water will come back in very quickly; increasing the risk of tidal cut off.

Take care and help to keep yourself safe by getting back to the main part of the beach, dry sand/land at least four hours before Wells bar high tide time.

Wells bar high tide times: -
Saturday 16th July 8.51am & 9.41pm
Sunday 17th July 9.36am & 10.28pm

Congratulations to Africa Alive Zoological Reserve for the birth of a critically endangered Somali Wild Ass born to mother Calula and father Sahib on 30 June 2022.

There are fewer than 200 mature individuals estimated to be left in the wild according to IUCN, making them one of the world's most endangered equines 🐎
