We offer a cosy, two bedroom, 18th century fisherman's cottage available for holiday letting in the centre of Hastings Old Town. Hastings Old Town roughly corresponds to the extent of the town prior to the nineteenth century. It lies mainly within the eastern-most valley of the current town. The shingle
beach known as The Stade is home to the biggest beach-launched fishing fleet in Britain. Hastings Old Town offers many events which take place throughout the year such as; the Hastings Old Town Week, Jack In The Green, the Seafood and Wine Festival, Carnival, Mardi Gras Festival, and the Bonfire Procession. Many of these events are centred on or around Winkle Island, which is within 2 minutes walk from the Cottage. Not only does Hasting Old Town offer great culture and events, it is a must for food and drink lovers with at least 20 pubs and bars, each offering a unique ambience. There are also a multitude of restaurants, varying from al a carte to cafe style to suit all taste and requirements. Hastings also offers magnificent local attractions including an 11th century castle, two funicular railways, a 600 acre country park, smuggler caves, the Jerwood Art Gallery along with the largest beach launched fishing fleet in Europe offering for sale fresh fish daily.
