Graeme bumped into some familiar faces from 1066 Manufacturing at the Business Awards Sussex last Friday - note, the second picture was taken at the start of the evening!

It was a brilliant evening and all were really touched by the , who work with families affected by cancer in Sussex; it was great to see so much money raised to support them.

Congratulations to all winners, especially Focus SB for adding another piece of glassware to their trophy cabinet and Marshall Tufflex and LED-UK for nominations in their categories.

Not all went home empty-handed, with some members ‘winning’ items in the silent auction!

Judges have been very proud to support many charities over the years, including St Michael's Hospice (Hastings and Rother) and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, to name a few.

Trevor's dog Mabel (unofficial Assistant Sales Director), has recently got another accolade to her CV, she is officially a registered Pets at Therapy dog! 🐶
Not only is she going in with her packed lunch and PE kit to Vinehall School on a regular basis, but she is also attending the Demelza Charity day unit next to Judges and partaking in accompanied home visits. She also has some visits to see patients at St Michael's, too.

Trevor said 'its so rewarding for both myself and Mabel'. We are yet to receive a comment on Mabel, but the big smile in the photo says it all.
They are regularly out and about by Bulverhythe, make sure you say hello! 👋🏼

Did you know what happened on 24 February 1984?

40 years (minus one day) later, former Directors Jan and Bernard Wolford walked back through the doors of 176 Bexhill Road, to mark 40 years of the Wolford family at Judges.

They were greeted by former colleagues, many of whom they hadn't seen for years. This was their reaction...🥰

It is a busy season for all the elves at Judges! 🎁 Fortunately they've all made the Nice List 🧾, so Santa let them have the afternoon off and chucked them in some rooms to escape from!🎅🏼

The results were as follows:
🕑Old Custom Gaol - 16 minutes & 49 seconds to spare
🕑Amazon Adventure - 1 minutes & 46 seconds to spare
🕑1940’s Heist – 8 minutes & 41 seconds to spare

It was a close shave for some, but they all made it in time for a slap up meal at .hastings 🎄

We all know that Bottle Alley doesn't always have the greatest reputation in our town, but has been wonderful to see the space spring to life recently, with the amazing art stalls we saw over the weekend 🎨🖼️ well done to all the makers involved 👏🏼

We love writing a ...On the tiny island of Floreana in The Galapagos 🇨🇴 (population 150) the tradition of posting letters without a stamp upheld 📝

Visitors put their mail in a barrel on the quayside and rely on fellow travelers to take the post and deliver to the intended recipient ✉️📬, wherever they might be in the world 🌎

On 27 December 2022, Graeme Wolford posted his sealion postcard (aka self portrait) and it arrived at Judges on 14 August, 230 days later in pristine condition, delivered by a kindly traveler who was on a cycling tour of Sussex 🚴🏻‍♂️

Congratulations are in order to the new Mr & Mrs White 👰🏼🤵🏻

Graphic designer, James, married his beautiful bride, Rose, in a stunning 1940s inspired wedding on Saturday 💒💍

The day began with a ceremony at followed by a magical reception at railway🚂 The day was complete with a knees up at The Printworks 🎉 with transport provided by a 1960s double decker bus!

We are always keen to recycle our pallets ♻️ and there is nothing better than giving Debbie the Duck 🦆 a new home 🏡 She is already enjoying her new view of the car park and will continue to appreciate a wave from those stuck in the notorious Bexhill Road traffic 👋🏼. Production Manager Tash is also enjoying the fact she does not have to take her out each day!
