The Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in Sabah, Borneo, opened in 1964 to rehabilitate orphaned orangutans. It also helps to rehabilitate injured or displaced adults and covers 4,294 ha of pristine forest. Here, visitors can walk along a boardwalk through part of the forest to see the resident orangutans and watch a feeding platform that supplements their diet during seasons when the trees don't have fruit and nuts.
