Their cheerful team are on hand to serve you that post walk pint or perhaps the morning coffee before you head off for the day.

A breakfast and brunch menu is available from 8:30am until 3pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Food is also available on Mondays from 8:30am until 2pm.

During the week you can enjoy paninis, cakes and snacks from our bar.

Did you know that this Sunday, 21st July, it will be a full moon? 🌕

Known as The Buck Moon, thought to originate from Native American culture, it is anticipated to rise around 10pm. Be sure to pack your binoculars if you'd like to get to explore it's craters.

Unfortunately, this does mean it won't be a great night for stargazing but you'll just have to come back another time to enjoy that 😜

👋MEET OUR TEAM

Jennie is our office guru and leads our reception team for both Wenningdale Escapes our sister park, Riverside Caravan Park & Holiday Cottages. She's been part of the team for nearly 8 years after looking for a new challenge when she'd been working for an online business before hand. She enjoys that she actually gets to see her customers these days 😁

🗣 What is the best advice you’ve ever received? “Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday, and all is well”

😍 What do you love most about what you do? Every day is different! The best part is 100% having people tell us they have enjoyed their holiday with us and can’t wait to come again. I sometimes take for granted living in such a lovely part of the world, so it’s nice being reminded what a lovely place we live in by people experiencing it for the first (or the one hundred and first ) time!

😮Tell us a surprising or a fun fact about you: From the age of 12 – 18 I was a member of the North Yorkshire County Youth Dance Company, and also danced with a local group run by Helen Howard. I have been lucky enough to perform at both Saddlers Wells Theatre and the Royal Albert Hall as a member of these groups and have lots of great memories from those years that I look back on fondly.

Outside of work you will find Jennie walking the local fells with her crazy dog Stanley, going on trips to the theatre or reading a good book (or 5)

👣Where to Wander: Oxenber Wood Circular 🌳

We love this circular route as it takes you through the nearby villages of Austwick and Feizor, through historic woodland and throwing in some stunning views too!

This route is just over 4 miles and we suggest it would take around 2 hours. You can have a pit stop part way at the tea rooms in Feizor or pop into the Game C**k pub in Austwick afterwards.

Ingleborough is an iconic feature in our backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales. The Yorkshire Three Peaks are a popular long distance walking challenge and we’ve had many guests tackle the trail.

This weekend sees the return of CountryFest at the Westmorland Country Showground which is just of J36 of the M6 so around 30 minutes from us.

The festival celebrates a whole host of things, not least of all the farming community.

There will be kite displays, arena demonstrations, marquees, competitions, historic cars, military vehicles, vintage emporium, lots of food & drink stalls for you to enjoy in between listening to one of the many amazing performers on the band stand.

Now in its 16th year Country Fest will again be held at the Westmorland County Showground, Crooklands on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June 2024.

With live music, games, food stalls and so much more, it’s a great day out for all ages!

A wonderful 5* review from some guests who recently stayed in our pods...

'Myself, partner and dog stayed for 2 nights friday-sunday. We loved the experience. The pods were spotless and nothing to fault at all.

The bar 1922 was a nice experience too - we had food and a few drinks in there watching people play golf! Food was beautiful and the staff came over with water for our dog too which was a nice touch!

Would definitely be returning. If you needed anything Heather and the team would be on hand!'
