Due to a late cancellation Eider cottage, sleeps 4 in two double bedrooms, is available from Saturday 30 July for up to 8 nights. It has an optional private hot tub in the garden and is pet friendly. The bathroom has a roll top bath and a walk-in shower. It is a charming listed period property tucked away up a quiet back lane, but a stones throw away from the centre of bustling Holmfirth with it’s popular cafe’s, pubs and restaurants and specialty shops.

Due to a last minute cancellation, Eider Cottage, Holmfirth is available from Saturday 30 July for a week, or eight nights, or for a short stay during that period. "We had the most fabulous week staying at Teal Cottage. As we had 3 grandchildren with us, booking the separate swimming pool at Angela’s house proved to be very successful and with floats, squirty guns and tubes, lots of fun was had! We hope you all had a lovely weekend and managed to do something outside in spite of the unseasonal weather. Whatever you did we don't think you will have had as much fun as our competition winners when they visited us at Harlequin House. We had no idea what a special thing this was for them when we chose them as our competition winners. The whole family visited so mum, dad, children and grandparents. Read about their stay in their own words from mum, Danielle:

"This holiday was amazing for the children, especially Ryan and Cooper who have autism. They loved the hot tub as it helped to relax with their sensory issues and it helped them both with their muscle pain they get due to dyspraxia.

With Monroe the environment was calm and welcoming so she completely relaxed. She is none verbal at the minute but managed to say a couple of new things while she was here, duck and quack quack. It doesn't mean a lot to some people but to those with non verbal children it means the world.

Not many places will accept us as we have so many kids with disabilities.

Thank you Angela, you and Arthur have given us the best gift you could, the chance to be away from home, together and without the stress of work and all the appointments the children have to deal with every single week."

Danielle also told us how lovely it was to see her husband David relaxing as the pandemic has meant he has been rushed off his feet as he is a postman.

So a great time was had by all.
