A red-throated diver captured expertly by Geoff Snelson while running along Salthouse beach! 🏃🏅 ‍

These beautifully sleek-looking birds, with silver-grey feathers and upturned beaks, have distinctive red throat plumage during the summer breeding season.

They can stay underwater for a minute and a half and only come ashore to breed. ⏱️🌊

In Scotland, the red-throated diver is sometimes called the 'Rain Goose' because it is thought that it can predict the weather. Short cries for fine weather, long cries for wet weather! 🌧️

She is just seven months old, but already Coco is doing her bit to keep the environment clean and litter-free - by picking up rubbish and taking it to the bin. It all helps with Norfolk Day's Big Clean up call-to-arms.
