Brown began his career with Manchester United, joining the club’s academy at the age of 12. First player during the 1998-99 season, when the club won the Treble. Over the next eight years, he won numerous honours, including four more Premier League titles, an FA Cup, a League cup and another Champions League. Sir Alex Ferguson has stated that Brown is “without question the best natural defender this club had for years”. Wes spent 15 years with Manchester United. Brown earned his first England cap in 1999 and was selected to play at the 2002 World Cup.

Phil Babb is best known for being the most expensive defender in Britain in 1994 when he moved from Coventry to Liverpool for a fee of £3.6m. Babb spent 6 years at Liverpool, making 128 league appearances and winning the League Cup. Phil also enjoyed successful spells with Sunderland and Sporting Lisbon. Phil also was capped for the Republic of Ireland 35 times including four appearances at the 1994 Fifa World Cup.
