Service 70 shuttle bus.
Good morning people of Grundisburgh and Culpho and surrounding area.
I have noticed several posts over the last few days / week about the Service 70 disruption due to the B1079 closure and would like to dispel some myths and incorrect postings.
We at Navigator Travel are running a shuttle service on behalf of Suffolk County Council between The Dog at Grundisburgh, Culpho and the Tuddenham Fountain that connects with the No.70 service operated by First at the Tuddenham Fountain whilst it is on diversion through Bealings for the duration of the closure.
We are not part of First who operate Service 70.
We will be running this Shuttle Monday to Saturday except the bank holiday until Saturday 20 September 2024 or until the road reopens and normal service resumes.
The times from The Dog if you wish to travel to Woodbridge are 0904, 1034, 1234, 1434, 1634, 1734. The journey takes 6 minutes.
The times from The Dog if you wish to travel to Ipswich are 0724, 0954, 1154, 1354, 1609, 1809. The journey takes 6 minutes.
For the return journey from the Tuddenham Fountain to Culpho and The Dog the Shuttle bus does wait for up to 15 minutes for the Service bus to arrive if it is delayed, however cannot wait any longer as it has to return to The Dog to do the next run to the Fountain to connect with the Service 70 in the opposite direction thus ensuring continuity of service in both directions.
You do not have to pay any extra on the Shuttle Bus. You pay once on the service bus.
My team on this service over the next 4 weeks are myself(Mark), Nanette, Craig, Darren and Roger. Please say hello and rest assured we are trying our best to keep you connected to the service 70.
We look forward to seeing you onboard.
