This year we are on ‘W’ names for the lambs. Can you help us with some ideas?

And one of the weekend jobs was to dig the dandelions out of my patio bed - so glad I didn’t get round to it and I’ll probably now leave them there for the foreseeable future - just proves how if you care about wildlife it doesn’t pay to be too tidy!

We’re so lucky in that everyone who walks the public footpaths through our farm are so respectful of our property and animals but thought it wouldn’t hurt to remind others of the countryside code

Suffolk has a vast history, evidence of which is still available to enjoy in the present day. Whether you are looking for grand stately homes or song-worthy castles - Suffolk has it all.

Catch The Dig on Netflix? Come and explore Sutton Hoo - the Anglo-Saxon burial ground home to one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of all time. Or step back in time to the 1770s and see the much unchanged landscape that John Constable admired at Flatford.

We're proud of our history, and look forward to sharing the amazing places to enjoy in the county during your stay at Damerons Farm.

Technology is wonderful, but it is indeed true that we have become far too reliant on it - we must remind ourselves every now and then what fun can be had away from the screens, and often a holiday can do just that.

However, it can often be a concern of families when they travel (particularly within the UK - let's be honest now) that the weather may not always be in their favour and so feel that they are not making the most of their time away from home. However, one thing we pride ourselves on - rain or shine - is that we are able to offer entertainment for our guests no matter what the weather and that they will leave having created fond memories.

We have a games room on site which can be used all year round and is full of family-friendly games like table tennis, a pool table as well as a selection of books and children's toys. Let it be known that table football tournaments at Damerons Farm have been legendary (and very competitive... the healthy kind, of course). VisitEngland

We're really proud to offer a variety of self-catering cottages to suit every need - we have seven to choose from, ranging in ability to sleep 8, 6, 4 and 2.

Is it time for a big family celebration? Churn House & Wheelwrights Cottage can sleep up to 10 with interlocking doors.

The Old Dairy is perfect for those that require accessibility. It has a low level kitchen set-up and portable shower stool in the bathroom. In fact, three of our cottages are rated Level M3 disabled access.

Do we hear wedding bells? We are more than happy to offer accommodation for a wedding party. Fisherman's Rest has beautiful light and space, which has proved to be perfect for a bride's busy morning of preparation.

Oh and most importantly, all our cottages are dog friendly.

We're kicking off with a little introduction to our business, for those that don't know.

Damerons Farm is located in the heart of the idyllic Suffolk countryside - here you will find seven self-catering cottages. Owners Sue & Wayne have been lucky enough to reap the benefits of this beautiful location all their lives and love nothing more than giving visitors the chance to experience life on the farm for themselves.

Sue & Wayne love to welcome new people to the farm and share with them their pleasure and appreciation of Suffolk’s beautiful and unspoilt countryside. Knowledge on this splendid county is plentiful and guests can book a stay knowing they will be provided with the very best in recommendations; from walks and restaurants to local events not to be missed. A stay in a cottage at Damerons Farm offers up a truly tailored and thoughtful experience.

The hope is that every guest at Damerons Farm uses their stay as a chance to relax, unwind and recharge away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A chance to get back to nature.

Our Story

We’ve been lucky enough to reap the benefits of living in the ‘Curious County’ for all our lives and love nothing more than giving our visitors the chance to experience farm life for themselves – without the manual labour! Of course, you’re more than welcome to give us a hand with mucking out and feeding the animals if you wish (you wouldn’t believe how many do!), but mostly we simply want you to make yourself at home and ‘get away from it all’ at your own pace.

We love meeting new people and sharing with them our pleasure and appreciation of Suffolk’s beautiful and unspoilt countryside. And as a small family run business we want nothing more than for you to make yourself at home within your chosen cottage.

Sue can usually be found running around like one of our farmhouse chickens – making sure that all our guests have everything they need as well as offering insider tips on what to see and do during your stay. A keen horse-rider, Sue loves nothing more than heading out on horseback at dawn to watch the sun rise over Suffolk’s fields and woodlands.

Meanwhile, you’d be forgiven for mistaking Wayne for the handyman, as he moseys around the farm tinkering with this and that. But as Sue’s husband of over 30 years, and a keen football fan, he can often be heard sharing tales of growing up in Suffolk as well as bending your ear about his love for the ‘beautiful game’.
