Our Story
We’ve been lucky enough to reap the benefits of living in the ‘Curious County’ for all our lives and love nothing more than giving our visitors the chance to experience farm life for themselves – without the manual labour! Of course, you’re more than welcome to give us a hand with mucking out and feeding the animals if you wish (you wouldn’t believe how many do!), but mostly we simply want you to make yourself at home and ‘get away from it all’ at your own pace.
We love meeting new people and sharing with them our pleasure and appreciation of Suffolk’s beautiful and unspoilt countryside. And as a small family run business we want nothing more than for you to make yourself at home within your chosen cottage.
Sue can usually be found running around like one of our farmhouse chickens – making sure that all our guests have everything they need as well as offering insider tips on what to see and do during your stay. A keen horse-rider, Sue loves nothing more than heading out on horseback at dawn to watch the sun rise over Suffolk’s fields and woodlands.
Meanwhile, you’d be forgiven for mistaking Wayne for the handyman, as he moseys around the farm tinkering with this and that. But as Sue’s husband of over 30 years, and a keen football fan, he can often be heard sharing tales of growing up in Suffolk as well as bending your ear about his love for the ‘beautiful game’.
