Here on Eilean Sionnach, this morning was one of those magical mornings when you feel lucky to be alive just to experience the beauty of nature. Autumn into Winter is a wild and wonderful time to visit Skye and the sunrises and sunsets can be absolutely epic.

- National Lighthouse Day -

It’s been said that this place feels as old as time itself. 

A lighthouse cottage nestled into the rocks – its historical inhabitants with a very important job to do.

Both the cottage and the lighthouse were built by the Stevenson Brothers in 1857, and the lighthouse was automated in 1962.

We can sleep 8 guests across four en-suite bedrooms
We are dog friendly 🐕
We do not have a TV 📺 But we do have good wifi 🛜
You can only access us by boat or during low tide you can walk across
Dining alfresco is encouraged 🦐 BBQ provided!

Island living doesn’t get much better than freshly caught seafood 😍 from langoustines to mussels and so much more, the local produce is second to none here in Skye. Guests are welcome to fish here from the Island but remember if you want to fish in rivers or lochs you’ll need a permit.
