🍂The Cabinet of Curiosities🍁
::
This amazing shop can be found in one of our local villages called Haworth, which is very well known for being the home of the Brontës and the heritage steam trains railway.
::
This amazing apothecary was transformed back into it’s Victorian glory over 30 years ago and is somewhere we have loved to visit since we were children.
::
Huge wood barrels full of various scented bath salts is the main draw, rose oil, mint, mustard and eucalyptus infused salts can be scooped up into bags to take home.
The smell in there is heavenly.
::
I love all the little Victorian bottles and cabinets too, with low lights that give the wonderful feeling that you’ve gone back in time.
::
It looks rather resplendent in it’s autumn garb at the moment too, visiting Haworth in a rainy autumn day means less tourists and the cosy feel of steamed up autumn cafe vibes.
::
Complete with the Brontë parsonage museum ( where they actually once lived ) over looking the church and cemetery, steep cobble lanes and amazing collection of indie shops, It’s no wonder so many visit and why so many tv shows are filmed here.
::
I have been really looking around with open eyes since coming back from California, what makes Yorkshire worth visiting, whats in our area that maybe we take for granted, this my friends is most definitely one place that makes the list.
::
Now I just need to persuade the husband that it’s time we went for another wander.
