Pop-up Studio events 🤍

This Tuesday 10th Sept is our first pop-up event of the season and you’ll find us back at the fabulous between 9.30 and Midday.

We don’t take bookings for these events ~ when you arrive, just head over to find us and we’ll add your name to our list. We then just work through you all!

We allow around 10 mins per appointment and it does really help if you already have an idea of what you would like ~ this means we can whizz through everyone as quickly as possible! If there’s a longer wait, we’ll let you know and you can just treat yourself to breakfast or coffee and cake whilst you wait! It’s a win win situation!

We know Christmas is ages away BUT when it comes to Christmas pottery, it’s never too early to get organised. We are currently fully booked at the studio in September and although we will be running studio days and pop-ups in October (dates released at the end of the month), we are unlikely to run these open events in November.

We will have a good supply of baubles and plates for Christmas Eve plates with us and we’re always happy to print Christmas designs on any pottery piece or create gifts.

If you can’t make this event, we are also at Farmers Fayre in the Park at Ryton Pools on Thursday 26th Sept 🤍

On Saturday 14th September (7-9pm) we are launching our newest event; Pudding and Pottery Club ~ a relaxed evening of pottery painting for those coming with friends or solo ~ all welcome from age 14+. We’ll be there with a fantastic range of pottery, lots of hints and tips and a simple technique project for you to follow if you’d like✨

September in the studio is now FULLY BOOKED!

However we do have two upcoming pop-up dates which you can find us at ~ no bookings are taken for these events. Just come and find us when you arrive and we’ll add you to our list and advise you of any wait time.

Our October open studio dates for hand and footprints onto pottery will be release towards the end of September once we have a bit more of an idea of how much we can take on!

For Imprints and Outprints we have our dedicated monthly events for these with October 8th our next date ~ message to book!

We may have some November availability which will be released at the end of October but we aren’t guaranteeing this as we may be snowed under by then! So we do advise to come and visit us sooner rather than later if you can 🤍

Drop-in Pottery Painting .ken ✨

Why not pop over to the fabulous Milk and Mocha, Kenilworth today or tomorrow (Tuesday 13th + Wednesday 14th August) for a spot of pottery painting and dessert eating!

This week’s theme is Farmyard and there are a great selection of animal characters to choose between as well as mugs, plates, bowls and spoon rests.

There’s no need to book ahead ~ just head over for either session (10-12pm or 1-3pm) and ask a member of staff to help get you started!

Pudding and Pottery Club 🤍

It’s not long now until the first of our newest pottery painting events in partnership with .ken and we’re really looking forward to this one!

Not only because it involves two of our favourite things ~ pudding and painting pottery ~ but also because we’re hoping to create something a bit different with this event.

Pudding and Pottery club will be a regular relaxed event open to anyone age 14+ ~ come with friends, family or solo and we promise you the warmest welcome and a fun evening with like minded people.

Come along as a one off night out or join us at each club night* and learn different skills and create different pieces each time. At each event there will be a different selection of seasonal puddings, pottery and design skills being demonstrated.

Tickets for Pudding and Pottery Club are £16pp (link in bio) and include your choice of dessert from a special P&P club selection!

Pottery is available to purchase at the event and starts at £15. If you’ve been to an event before, you’ll know that we always bring along a great selection of pieces for you to paint ~ from sushi bowls to pet bowls, vases to plant pots, mugs to cocktail ‘glasses’! And as the seasons change we’ll welcome pumpkins and baubles ✨

Thank you so much to the lovely team over at for helping with this fabulous Host-your-own Hen set up at the weekend. We’ve had some lovely feedback and we’re super impressed with the creative skills ~ maybe cocktails were consumed after the pottery painting! Can’t wait to get the pottery through the kiln and fired ~ we’ll share some photos!

🍓 Summertime Paint-your-own Pottery

Every Tuesday and Wednesday throughout July and August Paint-your-own pottery is available at the fabulous .ken

A great fun activity for all ages ~ with the best pancakes, waffles and gelato in town!

Advanced tickets are available to book via the link below* ~ each week we are offering a different theme with pottery suitable for both adults and children (it’s def not just for the kids to have all the fun!).

** Please note that booking for the upcoming week closes on a Sunday (to give us time to prepare your pottery!)

We also accept drop-ins and will update availability via our stories ~ there will be a smaller selection of pottery to choose from on the day and it will be cash only.

Tickets and drop-ins are £7 per person (£5 for toddlers age 3 and under). This includes a £2 painters fee and then £5/£3 off your cafe spend.

Pottery will then be ready ready to collect from our Kenilworth studio two weeks after your visit.

We did a new thing…

Introducing the BEST kind of club ~ a club where you get to hang out with friends, paint pottery and eat pudding!

Welcome to ‘Pudding and Pottery Club’ ~ a regular pottery painting club hosted by Crazy Kiln in collaboration with .ken Kenilworth from 7-9pm.

It’s a relaxed kind of club ~ you can just come once, once-in-a-while or if you love pottery (and puddings!) as much as us, you can come every time! We are a friendly, welcoming group and would love you to join us to share an evening with likeminded pudding and pottery painting friends!

Club events can be booked as a one off or if you would like to book the course of three Autumn dates, we will offer 10% off all pottery purchased on each of the three evenings.

At each P&P Club, there will be an exclusive selection of three puddings to choose between ~ from classic favourites to seasonal treats. Milk and Mocha really do make the most delicious pancakes, waffles and desserts in town so you won’t be disappointed!

Tickets are priced at £16 and include your choice of pudding ~ soft drinks will be available to purchase throughout the evening.

Pop-up event dates 🤍

We have just two pop-up events for hand and foot printed pottery this September ~ we’re looking forward to heading back to but we’re super excited to be heading over to their sister cafe ~ Farmers Fayre in the Park at Ryton Pools Country Park!

🌳 Ryton Pools Country Park is a wonderful outdoor space ~ there’s woodlands, walks, bike trails, playgrounds and lots of wildlife. Great for little ones burning off some steam after creating their pottery with us!

🚙 (If you keep hold of your parking ticket you can claim 50% of it’s value off your Farmers Fayre Bill* Min spend of £5 ~ term time only ~ Mon-Fri)

Pottery Painting at the Snug this Autumn!

Yes, we know that everyone is still waiting for that unfamiliar season that usually comes before Autumn. But we’re already looking forward to what really is the best time of year ~ pumpkin spice season!

We can’t wait to share a cosy night in with you at the beautiful for our next BYOB adult pottery painting evening.

🤍 Friday 4th October 7.30-9.30pm

The Basement Snug is a super chilled, venue just tucked away from Kenilworth Old Town High Street and a stone’s throw from Abbey Fields ~ we love inviting you here to spend the evening painting, relaxing and catching up with friends and family. It’s kinda special here.

This event follows our sold out summer event ~ we invite you to BYOB ~ Bring Your Own Bottle of fizz (or your favourite tipple!) to share with friends whilst you spend the evening painting pottery ~ what’s not to love!

Tickets are priced at £10 and include tea, coffee and nibbles ~ pottery is to be purchased at the event and will start at £12.

We will bring along a wide selection of pottery pieces ~ both our most popular pieces and some seasonal favourites. If you’ve visited one of our events before, you’ll know that we have a bit of an *unhealthy* obsession with buying pottery, so there is always a HUGE choice!!

Open Studio dates 🤍

These are our September Open Studio dates for taking hand and footprints onto pottery ~ by appointment only ~ just drop us a message to book in!

We’re trialling a new approach to hand and footprint events this autumn (when we start to have one eye on Christmas! 🙈). We’ll be releasing dates month by month so we can hopefully manage our commitments and workload as we approach our busiest time of year.

We will schedule events in for October and we hope to offer some in early November as well ~ however we can’t guarantee when and how many we’ll have capacity to offer. So, if you know you want to pop along to see us, we’d recommend coming sooner rather than later if you can. Our usual pottery will be on offer in September as well as baubles and Christmas designs for anyone who wanted to get a head start (and spread the cost!).

Our September pop-up dates will be released very soon as soon as they are confirmed ~ these are drop-ins and we don’t take bookings ahead ~ we operate a list system, whereby we see you in order of arrival.

🪶 Insane customer talent 🪶

A beautiful bowl dropped back to the studio yesterday for glazing and firing ~ but how unreal is this design! Painted by one of our regulars, she always amazes us with her creativity 🤍

Our take-home kits are a great opportunity to work on a special project in your own time, and your own space. Sometimes creativity comes to us in waves and it’s nice to be able to pick up a project, create a small part of it and then leave it to come back to. There’s no hurry at home and just look at the results here 🤍

Kits are available to hire from our kenilworth studio ~ there’s no extra charge to hire the kit, you just pay for your choice of pottery. We just need a bit of notice to get it all arranged for you!

🤍 Pottery Collections and Summer News

Just a little reminder that pottery needs to be collected from the studio before Friday 19th July ~ after this date we are taking our Summer break until 5th Sept so we may not be around to pop your bags in the shed and messages won’t be checked as regularly as usual 🤍

We still have quite a few bags of pottery that were painted at waiting for collection ~ please remember that these are for studio collection only, just drop us a message to arrange collection from our little shed.

Although we are taking a much needed break over the summer,you are still be able to hire out our Take-Home pottery painting kits ~ perfect for keeping the children entertained if the weather is naff or if you are having a summer gathering or celebration. Just make sure you give us as much notice as possible so we can arrange this for you 🤍

We are also running Summertime Paint-your-own Pottery events throughout July and August (every Tuesday and Wednesday) in partnership with the lovely team over at .ken ~ find the booking link for these events in our bio 🤍

💕 New Kids Party Venue

This time it’s a pink, glittery and slightly bonkers party glow up! We absolutely love hosting adult parties and workshops at and we’re so excited to be able to extend the invite to Mini-Harts so they can join in with all the fun and celebrate their birthdays!

Hart & Co is just the perfect party spot for tweens and teens ~ here’s a taster of the food packages you can choose between, how cute is the Mocktail Bottomless Brunch! I know this would be right up my teens street!

Wishing all our Crazy Kiln families lots of love over the coming weeks as your little one’s move onto their next adventures ~ we know what an emotional time this can be, in so many ways! As parents of teenagers, we’ve been there and understand but can genuinely say, don’t worry about them growing up or feel like you’re losing them; life gets better and better as you watch them grow up into amazing humans. Oh, and you care less about swearing in front of them. 😜

And we couldn’t not share this cute, (handpainted by us) thank you gift for a special local Nursery School 🤍

Summertime Paint-your-Own Pottery ☀️

Kids soon to be off school? Looking for something fun to do with friends? We’ve got you covered this summer whatever the weather 🙌

Every Tuesday and Wednesday throughout July and August we are offering Paint-your-Own Pottery sessions in collaboration with the lovely team over at .ken 🤍

If you’ve been to one of our previous holiday workshops at Milk and Mocha you’ll already know what a great spot this is for pottery painting and even better, what an amazing place is it for treating yourself to the most delicious pancakes, waffles and gelato around 😋 A great combo to keep the kids busy over the six weeks school hols!

Each week we will be running a different theme with pottery available for toddlers, children and adults alike ~ there’s something for everyone and it’s definitely not just for the kids to have all the fun!

Tickets are available to purchase ahead via the link in our bio ~ this is a bookable event although we will advise via socials on a weekly basis if there is availability for drop-ins (great if the Great British weather means you’re looking for a last minute indoor activity!).
