I completed my training at The Shires Equine Dental College in Cambridge and then completed further training with The American School of Equine Dentistry with Dr Hyde. I have always had a massive passion for horses and always wanted to work with them, but when I first decided that I would like to become an Equine Dental Technician there were limited options within England to train as the degree at

Hartpury College had not yet begun and hence I decided to go to America to train after I completed my initial training in Cambridge with dentist Garry Draper as I felt I wanted to gain a greater knowledge in the subject and gain more practical experience. On returning from America I completed the BEVA advanced equine dentistry course and have been working as a self employed Equine Dental Technician since this time in 2003. I am very sympathetic to nervous horses and have great patience with difficult horses in gaining their confidence in having their teeth floated without the need of sedation. I have a huge love for horses and absolutely love my work and to accompany this I am very calm and quiet and work well with all horses that I meet. I work in and around Kent and Essex and offer an affordable dentistry service to all equines using both manual and power tools. I generally use manual tools for routine dentistry and power tools for more advanced work but always adapt my approach to suit each individual equine.

Super blagdon cob mare, rising 3, well handled, 13.2 now, but still growing. Looking for a lovely 🏡. Please can my friends share as really would love her to go to a friend or friend of a friend. Feet, passported, microchipped, vaccs upto date, loads well, taken for walks to see traffic, over poles and just the sweetest, kindest temperament. Will make a super ridden pony. Easily handled by a child.

The importance of regular routine dentistry for all equines. A beautiful soul I visited today.

Huge overgrowths to their first lower molars and these pictures are after todays reduction. These will be reduced slowly over future visits to avoid taking away too much tooth in one appointment that could risk exposing the pulp chamber that houses the nerves and could result in the tooth dieing off.

If you look carefully on the pictures you can see lacerations caused to the tongue by these huge sharp overgrowths before reduction.

I have decided it’s time(seriously overdue) to enter the digital world and I will now be providing digital dental charts instead of paper copies to all of my clients via email. Hopefully this will be a simple transition. 🙈🤞🏻
