So this is my husband's skin test one week on! 😱
It appears to be getting worse so he is treating with a steroid cream for now as from today.
If he were to have had colour on his scalp the results could be incredibly serious. To date this is still the only reaction I have ever seen in over twenty years.
Please let me know ahead of your appointment if you suspect having suffered covid or had your vaccine and I will test you again even if you have had a test recently.
I will be testing all my colour clients in the week or two ahead of your appointment for convenience.
Please note, bleach does not require a skin test.

*please note* you do not need a skin test for bleach/highlights however you will of you have a toner afterwards.
This is an example of a skin test reaction on my husband's arm. I've no idea if he has been allergic to tint for a while as he doesn't colour his hair but I do suspect he may have had covid a while back.
I have never seen a skin test reaction personally in all my years as a hairdresser, now with changes to the immune system from having covid or perhaps the vaccine it has become an important factor when colouring hair.

Hey everyone! Just finished messaging everyone who had an appointment cancelled with lockdown (six hours!)
Tomorrow I will move on to my waiting list! If I have missed anyone by the end of the week please give me a shout!

Looking forward to getting back to work and seeing you all!

I will be working through my appointment book in the next few days.

Like the last end of lockdown I will be contacting everyone who had an appointment booked and got cancelled from the end of Nov, Dec, Jan and Feb before I can get through my waiting list.

I'll do my very best to accommodate everyone as fast as I can but as it is the Easter holidays I won't be working full time hours.

With today's announcement there's a glimmer of hope I can begin to see you all at the end of April! Hopefully this will go ahead as expected but I will wait for a definite date before I start rearranging appointments.

With todays news of further restrictions until at least the beginning of February. All current bookings in Jan will be at the top of the list when I know I can re-open. Let me know if you would like added to the list if you don't have an appointment booked yet. Stay safe everyone ❤

Hey everyone, I'm going to be in touch over the next week or two for everyone with an appt in the next three weeks.
I'm already pretty much fully booked in the run up to Christmas but if you can manage with a wee bit less, say a root touch up but no bdry or just a wet cut please let me know and I will try my best to do what I can before Christmas.
Like the last lovkdown I will try and work as fairly as I possibly can, thank you for your understanding.
