Bonfest this weekend. One of the busiest weekends of the year and accomodation close to the action is hard to find. Book in advance for next year 😊

Bon Scott basking in his glory and the beautiful sunshine - getting ready for his hundreds of visitors this weekend.

Bonfest is the annual international celebration of the AC/DC legend Bon Scott. Held in Kirriemuir, the festival will enter its 17th year in 2022. AC/DC fans from all over the world come together for three days of rock to remember, who some might say, was the greatest frontman ever.

The idea of creating a Bon Scott Statue for Kirriemuir came about in 2013 by members of DD8 Music. It was designed and sculpted from Bronze using the lost wax process by artist John Mckenna.

What a beautiful piece of art it is - we wish Kirriemuir a rocking weekend 😊 🤘

We have been pretty busy the first few months of this year, thank you to everyone who has booked a stay with us 😊
Due to the increase in energy costs we have had to have a look at our prices and adjust them accordingly. We have kept them at a competitive rate and of course there are genius discounts on booking.com in place as well as discounts for longer stays on airbnb and vrbo.
The calendar for this year is filling up, looking forward to meeting all of our future guests 😊

We like guests to have everything they may need on arrival so as standard we provide:
All bedlinen (100% Egyptian cotton)
Bath sheets, Bath towels, hand towels and face cloths (100% Egyptian cotton)
Toiletries: Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap (all in sealed containers which can be disinfected between guests)
Sealed toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, makeup wipes
A welcome pack of some basics: Bread, milk, fruit juice, eggs, butter, cake, biscuits, cereal
All condiments: Salt, pepper, sauce, mustard,oil
A selection of tea,coffee,sugar,hot chocolate,cappuccinos (all in individual sachets) as well as filter coffee for the machine.
The house comes equipped with all basic cooking essentials and dishes as well as kettle, toaster, hob, oven, microwave, fridge, coffee machine, slow cooker and blender
Cleaning supplies are provided as is a hoover, iron and ironing board.
There is a TV which has a firestick. Amazon video and disney+ are both provided and guests are free to log into their own netflix accounts etc.
For those with children we have a highchair, travel cot and a small selection of toys available on request. 😊

We take cleanliness very seriously at the property. We like to ensure that the house is not only spotless but fully sanitised between guests. All surfaces and high touch areas are washed, disinfected then sanitised using products containing at least 70% alcohol. All soft furnishings, bed linen and towels are washed on a high heat with dettol laundry sanitiser added to the wash. Once everything is cleaned and sanitised the house is sealed between guests, preventing any spread of viruses or covid.

House cleaned and sanitised ready for next guest going in tomorrow 😊 Cold nights this week so winter bedding is on. Added some toiletry dispensers to shower room and toilet. Some new appliances including a coffee machine and a slow cooker for warming winter food ❄

Historic roods where JM Barrie grew up (where house is located), Star Rock Shop (the oldest sweet shop in Scotland), Bon Scott Statue, Peter Pan Statue, Peter Pan Playpark, Gateway to the Glen's Museum.
There are 10 Munroes within easy reach making this a perfect base for hillwalkers.
