We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our Ceilidh on Saturday 23rd November here at Rottal Steading.

With music from the fantastic Dancing Feet Ceilidh Band, it’s sure to be a fun night of music and dancing and all the family are welcome 😀

Tickets are on sale now and cost £23 per person (£10 for under 12’s) and this includes a welcome drink and a hot buffet supper.

Assistant grower needed (1-2 days/week) to keep on top of the weather and scale up the farm production to sustain our markets and veg boxes this year.

The ideal candidate would have a by licence; be hard working, autonomous, motivated and with a keen interest on organic farming and sustainability.

This week Rottal Steading was host to Angus Tourism Cooperative’s monthly networking and learning event.

This month’s meetings main focus was on the opportunities for welcoming motorhome visitors to Angus. Thank you to everyone for coming along, we really enjoyed hosting you at our event space.

We so enjoyed having Dundee Ceramics Workshop with us last weekend at our Pop Up Event & Makers Market. George and the team did such a great job with their wheel throwing taster sessions and we hope everyone who managed to book a space enjoyed their try on the wheel!

Sophie, owner of The Candle Bothy and one of our regular Makers Market stallholders, is hosting her own Spring Market this weekend.

Taking place at The Steeple in Dundee city centre, the market brings together a great line up of local makers and producers and it’s all in aid of raising funds for the wonderful Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre in Dundee.

A big thank you to everyone who came along to our Pop Up Event & Makers Markets this weekend. It was great to see everyone browsing the makers market, enjoying delicious food and we had lots of lovely doggie visitors too 🐶 The Dundee Ceramics Workshop wheel throwing taster sessions with ceramicist George Buchan were a great success too 😀

Thank you to Angus Grill + Larder for serving up the best locally sourced food from their fantastic food trailer, Scrumptious Bakes by Rach for the delicious cakes which were served at our indoor cafe and of course all our lovely stallholders at our makers market.

We will be back with our next Pop Up Event & Makers Market later in the year on Saturday 30th November & Sunday 1st December and we look forward to seeing you then.

Local distillers Persie Gin will be with us all weekend and offering a fresh and fruity cocktail featuring their Raspberry & Mint Gin Liqueur, perfect for a spring day ☀️

They will also have their new charity gin for sale, ‘Unbridled Gin’, which is the latest in the Persie charity collection. With notes of green apple, fresh cut grass and hearty notes of hay, the gin celebrates the exhilarating experience of a good hack! And £5.00 from each bottle is donated to the World Horse Welfare charity 🐴

We love all dogs here at Rottal Steading and welcome them this weekend at our Pop Up Event & Makers Markets 🐶🐾

We are delighted to have Craig Cantwell Photography back with us all weekend offering mini pet photography sessions. These include a 15 minute sitting, a private viewing gallery of the images taken and your favourite photo supplied as a high resolution digital image with print rights for only £30 per dog.

There has been an amazing response to the Wheel Throwing Taster Sessions hosted by Dundee Ceramics Workshop at our Pop Up Event and all spaces are now fully booked 😀

Ceramicist George Buchan who is running the sessions will also have his own work for sale at our Makers Market all weekend so please come along and support local at Rottal Steading.
